Dream Bingo Close Affiliate Platform After 3 Months
Published On 18th November 2024
Back in August/September 2024 Dream Bingo arrived back on the scene after a few years out in the bingo wilderness. The original site had bingo rooms powered by Microgaming and when they pulled their product it left Dream and others, such as Butlers Bingo, without a bingo home. Butlers opted to try Pragmatic Play but Dream took a bold approach and kept their bingo brand running without bingo. That then changed in the summer of 2024 when Dream Bingo relaunched as a "new brand" on Jumpman Gaming. As it was "shiny new and revamped" it was looking for new players and affiliates, including ourselves, starved from the lack of anything new jumped at the chance to promote them. But there's now bad news for affiliates as it's been announced that Dream Bingo are closing their Jumpman affiliate platform.
What Does This Mean?
The only thing that this means for certain is that Dream Bingo will not be using Jumpman's affiliate platform as of the 1st December. It's unclear whether they will look to implement something different or simply choose not use affiliates at all. We think it's most likely to be the latter and that's not unusual because other brands that use Jumpman Gaming steer clear of using affiliates. Brands like Carlton Bingo have trundled along quite happily without seeking promotion from outside their own customer confines. It's feasible that Dream will look to other advertising options such as podcasts and radio which have been recently used by Mirror Bingo. However it will also mean that many sites that over the last couple of months have given Dream Bingo exposure will slap it down to the bargain basement or sites not worth your cash with the countless other brands on Jumpman Gaming.
Good Quality Players
For affiliates the dream of promoting a once well known brand is definitely over but is there more to this then initially meets the eye? If our own experiences are anything to go by then affiliates have pushed this brand in good faith but any referred players haven't matched up to the values paid out for acquisition. What this means is that players have joined Dream Bingo, perhaps deposited £10 or £20 and then decided that the platform wasn't for them. We know this because Jumpman Gaming told us that the quality of player we were sending them wasn't good enough. We were told that it is our "job to bring in good quality players from the start". Except we can't vet players before they arrive on Loquax Bingo, nor can we vet them once they've left and nor can we know how they will take to a brand once they've chosen to register, validate their account, deposit and play. In our view it's not our fault if a player decides to leave a site after wagering a tenner. Likewise it's not our fault if a player decides they love a brand and is a high roller. The closure of the Dream Bingo affiliate platform suggests that perhaps we weren't the only ones not bringing in good players.
Nightmares On Bingo Street
If you visit a restaurant and don't enjoy the experience then the fault most probably lies with the restaurant. They're probably not going to turn round and say you're the wrong kind of customer (Hugh Corcoran might be an exception - Daily Mail). So it's strange that happens in bingo and with bingo operators when dealing with affiliates. In our view the Jumpman Gaming platform is not a good option for bingo players. It utilises Pragmatic Play's bingo rooms but these are used to better effect at Heart, Bet365, Butlers and PlayOJO to name just a few. These will have bingo promotions, chat and more favourable welcome offers, wagering terms etc. For slots players Jumpman is slightly better but the high wagering terms and £2.50 withdrawal fees make it less competitive. We can see that, other review sites can see that, yet Jumpman think it's the quality of player being referred that's the fundamental issue but without acknowledging what they offer might be a huge factor. Anyway it's goodbye to Dream Bingo yet again - and this time you can take other Jumpman brands with you because we've decided to end the nightmare of promoting them here on Loquax Bingo.
