Play Keno Online
If you like number games such as Bingo and Slingo then you may also enjoy Keno. Keno is described as a "lottery-like gambling game". The objective of Keno is for the player to guess which numbers, from 1 to 80, will be randomly selected by the Keno machine. Each time the game is played, the player chooses 1 to 10 (or more) numbers (between 1 and 80) and the wagering amount. Essentially it's a bit like bingo but without multiple players - at least online - and a lot quicker. Furthermore you're choosing your own numbers, just as in lotto, as opposed to receiving a bingo card. In The UK Keno hasn't really taken off and it's most certainly not as big as it is in The US. At UK game sites and casinos it's more of an "instants" game these days with variations on theme being the only real difference from site to site. However Mega Ball Live is a very similar to Keno and well worth checking out.
Classic Keno Games
To experience the classic game of Keno we suggest you head to Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games or Double Bubble Bingo. Classic Keno does what it says on the tin. It features a grid of 80 numbers from which you can choose to pick between 1 and 10 numbers. A lucky dip option is available. Each turn costs a minimum of 20p but the wager can be increased up to £5. Once you've made your number selection and activated the bet numbers are drawn by the machine. Each number that matches is a hit and the more hits means a bigger prize. The prize amounts however do vary depending on how many numbers you select. For example matching one number from five selected is a x0.5 return. If you choose 10 numbers and match one number then you don't get anything. Instead it's x0.5 return for two numbers. A similar game can be found at Foxy Bingo but this allows you to select up to 15 numbers but rewards aren't generally payable unless you match three numbers or more. Games like Lightning Keno and Keno Deluxe can also be found at sites such as Buzz and Mecca.
Mega Ball Live
As mentioned above, Mega Ball Live is a live game show which brings together keno and bingo in one. When we reviewed the game we noted that the live room "comprises of a number ball generator, like the ones you see on National Lottery draws, a bonus wheel and an over enthusiastic presenter". In one sense Mega Ball is like 50 ball bingo. You purchase tickets which contain 24 numbers. Just 20 balls are drawn from the machine and the aim of the game is to mark off as many numbers on your ticket as possible. The aim of Mega Ball is to complete as many lines on your ticket as possible to be a winner. To aid you a 21st ball is drawn, The Mega Ball. If this then completes a line, two lines etc on your card then you win the usual prize multiplied by the value of a previously determined multiplier.
