Blox Bingo Is Replaced By Bingo Times

At the start of every month we like to take a whistle stop tour of various bingo and slots brands to update our promotions page. This section typically highlights daily free to play games like The Bonus Drop, prize promos, big jackpots and free bingo. In recent times we've featured Jackpotjoy's Blox Bingo because during the daily schedules they often drop in a handful of free bingo games. These usually played at 05, 25, 35 and 55 minutes past the hour (10am to 10pm) and offered players the chance to win £15 prizes. The games were also shared by Jackpotjoy's sister sites such as Virgin Games and Double Bubble Bingo. However whilst checking in with Jackpotjoy this month we've noticed that there's no evidence of Blox Bingo.
What Was Blox Bingo?
Blox Bingo was a 90 ball game that was introduced to Jackpotjoy in 2018. Whilst at it's heart it was standard 90 ball bingo with one line, two lines and full house winners, it initially stood out with a Bejewled Blitz style game that could be played by qualifying players. To be a qualified player you need to play at least six tickets per round. During the bonus game you collected points and these points could be converted to free tickets. However this bonus round was dropped and replaced with the free bingo games. Dropping the bonus round didn't help the game's appeal and in fact in our updated review we described Blox Bingo as becoming "just a nice looking 90 ball game with block shaped bingo balls". We don't know why the room has been removed from the schedule. Perhaps it had lost it's appeal or Bally's wanted to freshen things up. It could be that Blox is too close to Roblox and the powers that be felt this was erring into the child appealing arena.
Time For Bingo Times
As one bingo room door closes another bingo room door opens. Bingo Times was added to the Bally's schedule during July. This room is linked across the entire network and therefore can be accessed on Double Bubble Bingo, Virgin Games and Jackpotjoy. It's a 90 ball game which offers players the chance to win on 1L, 2L and FH plus potentially collect a progressive jackpot by calling house in 42 calls or less. This room also offers free bingo games during the day, at the exact same time as those that used to run in Blox Bingo. The big difference though is that players can also purchase tickets for these games, much in the same vein as Superbooks that run across the Virtue Fusion Network. Only players who have deposited and played at least £2 in the past week can claim free tickets, but if you choose to buy tickets then the jackpots are higher. The free game is headlined as offering £100 prizes for 1L, 2L and FH but these are the prizes only if you buy 10p tickets. The prizes drop to £50 on 5p tickets and just £5 for the free game. With £15 prizes available during free bingo games it's safe to say that Bingo Times has replaced Blox Bingo on the schedule.
This Month's Bingo Promotions
Also missing in action from Jackpotjoy's schedule are any out of the ordinary bingo promos for this month. Instead the standard offers are featured in a section called The Bingo Planner. Look out for over £16,000 in guaranteed prizes throughout the day in Bubble Up Bingo. In this room you can double your prize when you win on a double number or pop the Super 7 Jackpot with a full house on lucky number seven. If you like jackpots then watch for Superlinks Games that offer over £37,000 in guaranteed prize money each day. From 7pm until 11pm every half hour at XX:00 and XX:30 there's a minimum £750 guaranteed for full house winners. Finally if you like to play on a budget but want a mix of games for your buck then Session Bingo is the perfect option. Session games start at 10am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm and you get to enjoy 15 games for just one price. Each session costs £5 and pre-buy is available.
