Bingo Time & Bingo Boosters At Jackpotjoy

Bingo operators are constantly looking for new ways to improve their offering to players. This can be done by launching new games or formats such as Tombola's excellent Wordsearch Bingo that launched earlier this month (July 2023). Another approach is to add extra elements to the game such as Live Presenters, Community Jackpots and Drop Pots which can be found across a variety of brands such as Buzz and Double Bubble Bingo. The latest site hoping to boost their players interest in bingo is Jackpotjoy who have introduced an exciting new element to their Sapphire Room. It's called Bingo Boosters but what is it all about?
What Are Bingo Boosters?
Bingo Boosters are basically add-ons to the base bingo game that give you the chance to win extra prizes. This means that on selected games in the Sapphire Room, Jackpotjoy will play out on extra X To Go or Roll on mini-features, or award Playoff Palace tickets. These are nothing new in the bingo world as other platforms have regularly offered them, but here's a small reminder about what they are. X To Go are prize pots which are shared amongst players who end the game 1TG or sometimes 2TG. Obviously if you're the only player on 1TG then you win the whole prize, but it's very unlikely that'll occur (everyone ends on 1TG don't they?). Roll On is when the game continues after a full house occurs. In Jackpotjoy's version only three further calls are made so as to give you a chance to win by completing the ticket. Other platforms tend to run roll overs until a certain number of winners has been achived. Playoff Palace Ticket awards are simply when you get extra tickets for the daily and weekly free games. Note Bingo Boosters are only in play 12pm - 2pm and 5pm - 7pm for a limited time period only.
Bingo Time
Accompanying Bingo Boosters this month is Bingo Times, although you'll need to be quick to get on board with it as this ends on the 16th July. Mind you it's not that exciting because the chances of winning are quite slim. Basically if you call house on the number of today's date then the full house prize will be tripled. So for example you'll need to win on 14 for the 14th July, 15 for the 15th July and 16 for the 16th July. It'd be cool if this was standard feature for selected bingo games and it'd be interesting to know just how many times the prize gets paid out. Confusingly Bingo Times is the name of what appears to be a brand new room at Jackpotjoy. It's a sunshine themed room that offers 90 ball games. As you'd expect there are prizes for 1L, 2L, and a FH plus Bingo Times offers a progressive jackpot that is won if FH is called in 42 calls or less. At time of writing the progressive was £656 (seeded at £400). Bingo Times also appears to be a multi-stake room where you can choose your ticket price but still purchase multiple tickets. Overall though it's not a busy room so maybe worth a look if you like better chances to win?
Promotions In A Spin
Can you remember the last time Jackpotjoy did a big bingo promotion? They have some great games and jackpots but a quick look at the promotions page and everything is slots orientated. Spin for Cashback Offers, Win A Share Of 5 Million Spins, Slots Masters, Casino Action For Weekly Prizes. We rarely see prizes being offered and as we've commented many times already they're not the only ones who seem happier to focus on slots. This isn't a bad thing but it does indicate that online bingo times (see what we did there) just aren't as exciting as they once were. Whether the limitations on marketing have impacted operators, the value of having bingo players is a lot less than with slots, or they now know it's better value not to giveaway cars and holidays on a regular basis we don't know. Anyway at least Jackpotjoy are attempting to boost their bingo offering and perhaps in bingo time we'll see more promotions to get really excited about.
