Giddy Up Bingo - Play 50 Ball Bingo
Published On 23rd August 2023
Giddy Up Bingo is the latest addition to the roster at Betfred Bingo. As you might be able to guess from it's name it has a horse racing theme. This 50 ball bingo game plays with multistakes and has been designed in association with Playtech. Those who get under starters orders with Giddy Up Bingo have the chance to win a full house prize as well as a community jackpot. Sport crops up a few times as a theme in online bingo. For example William Hill have their Day At The Races 40 ball variant whilst we recently told you about the new Stadium Room opening at Coral as well as the new Slingo Racing game. But how good is Giddy Up Bingo? Will it be championed by bingo players or will it simply fall at the first hurdle?

How To Play Giddy Up Bingo
Giddy Up Bingo is a multistake 50 ball bingo game which means you choose to purchase one ticket at a number of prices. These range from 10p up to a maximum of £2 but all players take part in the same game. The prizes on offer vary depending on your wager. To buy-in to the game you simply select your stake by selecting one of the four horses in the stable at the foot of the screen. The game card consists of ten jockeys and riders who each represent a bingo number. The jockeys, as you expect, are placed on a racing track and there's a crowd of spectators watching the action. Graphically it's all very simplistic, especially when you compare it to games created by Tombola, but nicely designed all the same. At the off - or when the numbers start to get called - the game becomes animated and the horses start to gallop. As numbers are called any matching horses disappear from the screen with a very strange neigh noise.
Full House & Community Jackpot
As you'd expect the aim of the game is to be the first player with no horses left racing. There are two prizes on offer in each round of Giddy Up Bingo. A full house prize is available to the first player(s) who match all ten of their numbered jockeys. If the full house is called within 19 calls then a community jackpot, The Front Runner Jackpot, is awarded. This is a progressive jackpot that increases each game. If the prize is won the it's split 50/50 with the full house winner and roomies playing at the time of the win. When the jackpot is won then the prize starts again at £150. And that's it for prizes which is disappointing. William Hill's Day At The Races for example involves a Golden Rosette feature which would have been the perfect addition to Giddy Up.
Highly Positive Player Reaction
Betfred are naturally delighted with their new addition that has been produced in conjunction with Playtech. Joni Keelings, Bingo Manager at Betfred explained that "We’re very proud to offer Giddy Up Bingo as an exclusive, and there has been a highly positive player reaction to its launch. Giddy Up Bingo is both visually engaging and offers versatile gameplay – exactly the elements we look for in an exclusive variant. To be able to work closely with Playtech to deliver something unique for our players adds great value to our partnership, and we're delighted with the results".
Giddy Up Bingo is a good addition to the Betfred stable and it's good to see them get their own exclusive 50 ball game. If nothing else it adds an extra option for players and gives Betfred something cool to promote during the likes of Cheltenham and The Grand National. The animation is fun but we'd have liked to have seen things taken just a little further. When you look at Bloom at Tombola for example there's a lot more that game developers can potentially do with their designs. On a positive note it's good to see Playtech adding new games as it's fair to say they've been relatively quiet in recent times on that score.
