William Hill Bonus Drop Gets A Boost

Back in August we posed the question 'Is The Bonus Drop Broken or Fixed' in respect to the popular daily free to play game from William Hill. Interestingly a month later the game changed and is now The Bonus Drop Boost. The format of the game is still the same in that players are required to drop a coin into the Plinko style game and where it lands determines the prize. However the game has now been "boosted" with multipliers that can be acquired provided you play daily. We're guessing that this boost has been added to encourage players to make more of an effort to return each day to see if will actually generate any free spins.
What Is The Boost
As the format of The Bonus Drop game hasn't changed there's no point in us covering that part of the promotion again. However what about the boost element? By playing daily between Saturday and Thursday players can build up what is described as a Friday loyalty boost. Play a minimum of 3 times a week to receive a x2 multiplier but play 6 times in the ame week to get a x3 multiplier. If you play fewer than 3 times a week then your prize stays the same. Playing daily doesn't guarantee a win. William Hill clearly state "Playing the Bonus Drop Boost game more than once each day will not increase your chances of winning a prize or lead to more than a 3x multiplier". However if you do win 5 free spins and have played 3 times then the spins are boosted to 10 spins. Liekwise if you've played 6 times then 5 free spins are boosted to 15. In the extremely unlikely event that you win a cash prize it's not explained if that would be boosted but we're assuming that it wouldn't be.
More Gubbings Than Boostings
We would like to be able to give more background and information about the game but we're one of the many players who aren't eligible to play. It's safe to say that our account has suffered from what is known as gubbing. From a player point of view it's frustrating and from a reporting point of view not very helpful. We would add it's annoying from an affiliate point of view too but William Hill are limiting their partnerships with UK affiliates as well. Such is the way of the industry these days. Because we can't play the game we can't tell you whether The Bonus Drop is offering better chances of winning or whether it's broken or whether it's fixed. In our view The Bonus Drop had gradually declined in terms of dishing out free spins on a regular basis and players were better off just claiming the regular free spins offer that arise from time to time. The boost element of the game doesn't improve things in our view.
