Arcade Spins & Spinzaar To Close Soon

Published On 22nd December 2022

Earlier in the year Broadway Gaming became the new owners of 888's Dragonfish platform. This sale included the purchase of a number of bingo brands such as Wink, 888 Ladies and Costa alongside the bingo platform and slots platform. The latter was something that started to roll out a few years back when the trend in online gaming was to produce multiple slot brands similar to the approach used by Nektan and Jumpman. Amongst those who launched "white-label" Dragonfish powered slot brands were Tau Gaming who added the likes of Secret Spins, Viva Fortunes, Amber Spins and Electric Spins to their roster. However, news reaches us that a couple of Tau Gaming brands are due to close. As of January 4th, 2023 Arcade Spins & Spinzaar, will close and cease all operations and cease all operations.

Withdraw Outstanding Balances

If you've got an account with either Spinzaar or Arcade Spins then you should receive an email explaining the closure and what you need to do. In short if you have funds in your account then you should look to either withdraw them or spend them before the 3rd January 2023. After that the site will be closed and you'll probably have to email Broadway Gaming to get assistance. Note that you will only be able to withdraw real money funds. Any bonus funds that you have will be lost unless you play them (although wagering terms and withdrawal terms will obviously apply). Despite the imminent closure both sites are showing registration options which seems a little bit strange. There are also no notices on either site indicating that they will soon cease operations. It's unclear what will occur after the 4th January 2023 but we anticipate that Tau Gaming will redirect visitors to one of their other brands. In recent emails they've alluded to new brands launching butto date nothing has emerged in that department.

About Spinzaar And Arcade Spins

Spinzaar launched in November 2020 and despite launching it's hard to think of anything of note during it's two years online. In our review we did mention the bizarre brand name which we assumed was an almagamation of the words Spins and Bazaar. It's not the best name (although admittedly that might be a bit rich coming from a site called Loquax). Arcade Spins has had a more interesting history than it's departing counterpart. Originally launched in 2016 as Deal Or No Deal Spins it relaunched as Arcade Spins when DOND Casino arrived on the scene. We suspect that there was a little bit of a trademark issue going on. The only other thing of note about both brands was a welcome offer change in March 2022 when they, plus sister sites like Electric Spins and Deluxino, all changed to offer players free spins and a £10 bonus. The problem that Spinzaar and Arcade Spins, and indeed their sister brands, have always faced is that they lack anything unique plus have to compete alongside the likes of Wink Slots, 888 Casino, Costa Games and other brands including bingo sites.

What Next For Tau?

In recent communications Tau Gaming have suggested that they will be launching new brands on the Dragonfish Bingo and Slots platform as well as a new brand on a "network that provides Spin The Wheel Welcome Bonus offers" (we're guessing it's Jumpman). It'll be interesting if the former comes true because in our view the Dragonfish/Broadway Gaming set-up is still evolving and currently not grabbing the headlines. In our view we think that they'll be further bingo and slot brand closures before new brands are added to this group. This means Tau will look to launch their "spin the wheel" brand first and if it is a Jumpman site then that's not great news because the Jumpman stable boasts over 200 brands and really doesn't need anymore. One thing that we have concluded on most reviews is that Tau have never concentrated on developing one or two flagship brands. Creating something - either within bingo, slots or both - with exclusives or uniqueness might help them navigate through the 12 months ahead.
