New Look And Site Changes At Jackpotjoy

We dropped into Jackpotjoy this morning and had a bit of a surprise. They've decided that it's high time for a bit of a makeover. Out goes to the tired looking squished together site and in comes a bigger, bolder and brighter look. The site is has also been redesigned to be more compatible with mobile and tablet devices.

According to their Facebook page, the changes will mean "faster loading games, better quality high-definition graphics, a new look bingo page and a faster loading site". Most certainly everything does look a lot better although regular visitors to the site may find some of the navigation changes annoying at the start.

Bingo Room Navigation

For example we entered the Cloud Bingo room and were immediately impressed by the look and quality of graphics. If you want to change rooms it's not obvious where to click. You can hit the "home" button then go back to bingo and finally enter a different room. However - and this is not obvious - you can also pull down a list of rooms by clicking on the name of the room over the chat area.

The bingo room changes also mean you can't easily see what's going on across the site in terms of players, rooms and jackpots. Another noteworthy change is that the Take Me Out Bingo room seems to have bitten the dust. Rumours are that Paddy McGuinness is starring in a forthcoming Jackpotjoy advert so it's a surprise to see that particular room close.

No More Show Us Your Balls

Another game that's been dropped from the roster is the free Show Us Your Balls game. Show Us Your Balls was the bingo themed game featuring Barbara Windsor - she's still on the site, but it does look like the days of The Queen Of Bingo are potentially numbered! By the way, Doubly Bubbly, Daily Paper and Tiki's Catch Of The Day remain but you now must have wagered £2 in the past week in order to play.

Fans of one of Jackpotjoy's original 3 reel 3 payline slot, Bullion Bonanza, are also in for bad news. This Goldmine theme game has also fallen foul of the new upgraded JPJ. We suspect that it was easier to lose the game then make it functionable on mobile or tablet devices.

Too Cartoony! Great On Mobile!

Mobile most certainly seems to be the driving force behind the changes, but they've not gone down too well among some players. Some Facebook comments include too bright, too cartoony and that the site has lost functionality. Others are happier saying it works better on mobile and it's easier to get around the site.
