How To Play Fishin' Frenzy Bingo

Like it's 50 ball counterpart of the same name, Fishin Frenzy Bingo at Bally's adopts the familiar images and sounds that players will immediately associate with the slot. A clear blue ocean with corals create the background for the bingo game whilst fish swim around. The bottom left of the screen shows the calls that have been made whilst your bingo cards are highlighted on the right. Playing Fishin' Frenzy Bingo is pretty much the same as any other 90 ball game. You purchase your tickets and aim to get one line, two lines and a full house before the other players. Tickets cost from 5p and there are options to pre-buy. At eyes down the numbers are called but instead of bingo balls the swimming fish are hooked from the screen and these represent the bingo numbers.

The Fishin' Frenzy Bonus

However there's one big difference between Fishin' Frenzy Bingo and other 90 ball games that you might find at Jackpotjoy. A one line three reel slot also spins on each number call. If during these spins you get three ship scatter symbols then the Fishin' Frenzy Bonus round is activated. Note that one or two scatter symbols will hold for one extra spin to give you the best chance of winning. During the bonus round each fish symbol will have a prize value - indicated by a tag. If a fish number is called, then this tagged value is added to any of your tickets that include that number, increasing your potential winnings if you win the full house. The bonus round only lasts for a few calls but any value gained remains for the whole game. However you only win the amounts gained during the bonus if you win the full house.

Lucky 7 Goldfish

When playing Fishin' Frenzy Bingo you'll notice that the number 7 bingo ball is represented by a lucky goldfish. This represents the game's jackpot. Initially we thought that players picked up a share of the prize when the fish was hooked or called but that's actually not the case. The lucky 7 goldfish prize is only awarded when it's hooked and it completes the full house. As far as we know this jackpot is only paid to the full house winner(s) and no community jackpot is available. Obviously if the number 7 is called early during a game then there's no chance of the jackpot being paid out for that particular round of play. The jackpot is reset when it's won and it's seeded value is £50 according to the terms.

Our Verdict

It's great to see a new bingo game at Jackpotjoy and it's interesting to see how they've brought together slots and bingo. Initially we thought there wasn't any real link between the bingo game and slots but that's not the case. Although we couldn't see it mentioned, players can actually win a share of free spins from an XTG pot. We're not sure if that happens on every game but at the end of one round we were awarded 10 free spins on a Fishin' Frenzy slot variant. That's an extra plus for the game which does feel very full house heavy with the bonus and jackpot elements only won by the FH player. We'd have liked to have seen a little tweak with perhaps bonus round players sharing a prize or getting spins. But overall we're quite impressed with this game and it's possibly the best version of bingo we've seen on this platform. It's most certainly a format that we can see being rolled out quite easily by Bally's for other slot franchises along the lines of Slingo.
