Mecca Bingo have launched an exclusive new version of the traditional 90 ball game this week. It's called Linka-balls Bingo and it includes a gem-style game feature. Gem games are where you have to get three elements of the same colour in a row (up/down, left/right or diagonally) to build up points.
Linka-balls Bingo plays as a normal 90 ball game, but during the calls coloured balls fall into a grid. As the grid fills, hopefully lines of three colours are formed and these then go on to help the player win a share of a feature pot. Each colour, red, blue, yellow, green, orange and purple, have their own prize pot. Only one group of three of each colour will count but you can win a share of each colour.
To access the game you just need to login to the Mecca Bingo lobby. Linka-balls can be found under the specials and 90 ball tabs. When you enter the room you're met with a space-age/oriental soundtrack. Note that to activate the Linka-balls feature you must play a minimum of six tickets. If you're not playing or haven't bought six tickets then you can't see the Linka-balls feature in action.

We found Linka-balls to be quite good as it gives the player something extra to keep an eye on instead as well as the numbers. When we played each coloured group generated 8p back. So for a 60p wager and three sets of three we got a return of 24p. It's never going to be big money, but it makes playing a little bit cheaper.
