Monopoly Scratchcard Empire combines not one, but four different games all inspired by the popular board game. You have a choice of playing Full Set Fortunes, Token Treasure, Property Match and Get Out Of Jail Jackpot. Each of these games have a different mechanic but ultimately they are all instant win. They also have different top prizes which may or may not influence which game you'd choose to play. For example Get Of Jail Jackpot has a top prize of £1000 whilst Full Set Fortunes gives you the chance to win up to £23,000.
Property Match
Property Match is essentially a game of snap that involves the property cards which appear in a Monopoly game. You card consists of your three match cards (gold, silver and bronze) and eight property cards. Wagering starts at 20p but you can increase this to £10. The aim of Property Match is to match any of your gold, silver and bronze cards with the eight other cards. The amount you can win is shown on each card. In theory it's possible to match more than one card and therefore win more than one prize. For example you might be dealt Mayfair, Old Kent Road and Leicester Square. If one or more of these appear within the eight turned cards then you win. During play if Chance and Community Chest cards are turned then you also win a bonus prize.
Get Out Of Jail Jackpot
Get Out Of Jail Jackpots takes the Go To Jail element of Monopoly and converts it into an instant win game. Wagering starts at 20p but you can increase this to £10. The scratchcard consists of three panels behind which you'll find pairs of dice. The aim of the game is to reveal a double and therefore try and get yourself out of jail. The more doubles you reveal the more locks - gold, silver and bronze - that can be opened. Open all the locks to win the biggest prize. Get Out Of Jail Jackpot also has a bonus round of it's own. If you reveal 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (in any order) across the six dice then you'll win a free card.
Full Set Fortunes
This particular game is very much like a traditional scratchcard. It comprises of three smaller games each of which require you to match symbols. The first part involves buildings where you have to match a pattern of three houses and hotels. In the second section the aim is to match three coloured cards and symbols from a selection of eight. Finally there's another chance to win by matching three Monopoly tokens from a selection of six. Each section also has a bonus element although it's not clear what they actually do. If by some miracle you win on two or more of the elements of Full Set Fortunes then you get to unlock the vault where you can win big - up to £23,000.
Token Treasures
Token Treasures is a simple instant win game that involves discovering which of the four Monopoly tokens has gone the furthest. Wagering starts at 20p but you can increase this to £10. The tokens involved in this game are random but expect to see the likes of the dog, dinosaur, battleship and duck in play. Each meter is slowly revealed to show how far the token has travelled. In order to win a prize the token needs to have travelled at least half the distance on the meter. If the token gets further, or even fills the meter then bigger prizes are awarded. This game has a maximum win of £5510 and we expect that that is awarded if all meters are filled and the player has chosen to wager the maximum amount.
Our Verdict
When we first opened Monopoly Scratchcard Empire we didn't realise that there were four games on offer. It's not very clear nor well signposted. However once you know the games are there then there's plenty of options to consider. Of the four options we think that Property Match is our favourite whilst Get Out Of Jail Jackpots is the least favourite. However it's worth trying each one to see which you prefer. If you're not keen on wagering first to try the options then you can always opt for the demo games first. Monopoly lends itself perfectly for instant win games and slots and this is another perfect example to demonstrate why. The graphics are stunning and gameplay smooth.
