Gaming Realms, the people behind sites such as Slingo and Spin Genie, have launched a brand new game. It's called Wheely Wheely Big Win and it's like nothing we've seen before. In short you bet against two spinning wheels - if the wheels stop in a specific area then you're the winner. Sounds straightforward doesn't it?
When you first login to play Wheely Wheely Big Win you're faced with two large circles and a "win amount". The wager for the game is set to £2 but you can adjust this to anything from 50p a spin up to a maximum of £100. The amount you can win is determined by how big the red/black areas of each wheel is. This area can be adjusted by the player by adjusting the arrows.
No Demo Play
To be fair we found this a little confusing at first - and it would be nice to see a bit more information on screen when you load the game. Alternatively a bit of demo play wouldn't go amiss. However, once you figure out how to set the bands then it's all quite simple. Once you're happy with the adjustments and the amount to wager then it's just a case of hitting "spin". To win on Wheely Wheely Big Win your two colour bands need to line up with the two arrows at the top of the wheels. They don't need to be dead centre! As long as part of the segment is lined up then that's good. If only one of your segments is in the arrow area then you're offered a respin of one of the wheels for an extra wager. We felt this wasn't good value as the win rarely materialised.
Work Out The Odds
However we did find plenty of wins with Wheely Wheely Big Win. By wagering 50p to win £5 we were picking up wins every 7 or 8 spins. As such with a £10 deposit, we ended our trial play on £36. Of course this may well be down to pure luck and we didn't risk playing for higher prizes. It is however all about odds - a £5 return for a 50p wager is 10/1 so it's well worth keeping in mind the chances of winning when making your adjustments. The Wheely Wheely Big Win game itself is quite entertaining - especially for something so simple - and surprisingly quite absorbing too. The regular wins did help maintain interest! We're not sure it'll revolutinise online gambling but it's a refreshing change from the theatrical slots that are standard these days. It'll be interesting to see how players react to Wheely Wheely Big Win and whether Gaming Realms will develop other versions of the game.
