Pillars Of Fortune Instant Win Review

Pillars Of Fortune was launched on Jackpotjoy back in 2017 as an alternative option for players who had enjoyed Blotto Lotto which sadly was removed from the roster. Adopting an Egyptian theme, Pillars Of Fortune is a very easy to play but enjoyable instant win game. The aim of the game is to eliminate the pillars or rows of tiles in order to win cash prizes. To help you do this the spinning orb reveals a colour and symbol; then you must search the tiles for an exact match.

Pillars Of Fortune

The Egyptian theme of Pillars Of Fortune is immediately evident when you first open up the game. Set inside a secret chamber in a pyramid you'll find stacks of blocks blocking your exit to the sun and ancient sands. On the left of the blocks is an orb and a sarcophagus. During gameplay you're treated to an Eygptian music soundtrack but there's an option to turn it off. To start the game you're initially asked to place your wager. You can currently place bets ranging from 20p up to a maximum of £10. As the bet increases so do the prizes on offer, including the jackpot. The object of the game is to clear the blocks from the 6 line, 4 column area in order to win the cash prizes indicated. At each turn an orb is illuminated on the left side of the screen. Each orb will have a colour (green, blue, orange or red) and a different symbol.

Orbs Make Prizes

If the orb symbol and colour matches one of the blocks then that block can be removed. If no match is available then the orb drops into the sarcophagus and you lose a life. The orbs will keep generating until you lose three lives or all the blocks are cleared. You need to remove the blocks yourself which can be a little tedious. If you clear a line or column of blocks then you win the associated cash prize. For the rows the prizes are x1, x3, x10 and x100 your initial wager. Columns have lower values and are usually x1 your stake. It is possible to win on more than one line and column. However, if you clear all the blocks then you win the jackpot that's indicated at the top left of the game screen. The jackpot is x10000 your initial wager.

Our Verdict

Pillars Of Fortune is a good example of an interactive instant win style game. The design is good and the mechanic enjoyable. It can be a little bit slow as there's no "reveal all" or "turbo mode" for those players who may want to speed the process up. However some instant win games suck your money out of you far too rapidly so at least you feel that you're getting some valuable game play time. We played Pillars Of Fortune a number of times and had a few small wins. The game could be made more exciting if there were a few bonuses or multipliers added into the mix. One thing that we noticed was that as soon as a row win was achieved non-matching symbols on the orbs seem to come out almost immediately. Pillars of Fortune can be played at Gamesys brands including Virgin Games and Jackpotjoy. A free demo mode option is available for registered players and we'd suggest trying this first before committing to any wagering. This will give you a good feeling for the game.
