Play Drop At Tombola Arcade Review
Tombola Arcade have taken inspiration from Tetris for the latest additions to their instant win games roster. Joining the likes of Go, Glow, Pick and Spin is Drop. This section contains two different games - one called Drop and the other Stack. Both are quite similar in style and game play. From just 5p you have the chance to win x500 your initial stake.
Login to Tombola Arcade and select the 'Drop' section to open the lobby window. Inside the lobby you'll find two options. The left side will take you to the Stack game whilst the right option takes you to Drop. Decide which game that you wish to play and then choose your stake. Tombola's uniqueness is that you can play games from a minimum of 5p up to a maximum of £1. We've played both games and there's not much to choose between them. Our advice is to give them a try and see whether you like one over the other.
How To Play Drop
Stack is the more Tetris inspired game. You start off with a 6x6 grid of coloured shapes that are very similar to the popular puzzle game. The aim of the game is to clear columns in order to win a cash prize. Each column represents a prize and these are x1, x2, x5, x10, x50 and x500 your wager. Click drop and shapes will appear on the left of the screen. If a shape matches those on the grid then they are removed. Any cleared columns after 12 drops will pay out the prize. It's possible to win on more than one column. The aim of Drop is the opposite to Stack as you need to create columns in order to win the prize.
Win Up To x500 Your Wager
The game starts off with six crates at the top of the screen. These crates drop coloured cubes onto the platforms below. Get a column of six cubes of the same colour to win x1, x2, x5, x10, x50 or x500 your wager. There are six rounds of drops (36 drops in total) but watch out for bombs as these will destroy your stacks - usually when it looks like you're about to win. Both games are fun to play but neither version really stands out as being better than the other. In terms of RTP both games are identical. Stack has a return to player of 98.49% whilst it's 98.5% for Drop.
Our Verdict
We like the fact that you can play from just 5p but did find that wins are very hard to come by. When we did win then unsurprisingly these were at the lower end of the pay table. The bigger prizes do get tantilisingly close but they usually are always one shape away or bombed out just when you think luck is coming your way. This is typical game design to entice you to try again and maybe win. Overall we liked both games but as with many instant win games the novelty quickly wears thin especially when you're not winning. That said you do get better game play value at Tombola compared to many slots and casino sites offering scratchcards and instants.
