Big Bass Bonanza
Big Bass Bonanza is a 5x3 10 line slot. The setting for this and most games in the series is in the deep blue sea. On the reels are a series of icons relating to fishing including floats, rods, dragonfly, bait box and of course fish. These are joined by the card symbols (10, J, Q, K and A) plus a wild fisherman and scatter fish symbols. During game play if you get 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols then the bonus round activates and gives you 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. During free spins you can win the value of any fish symbols that land on the reels. The top symbol on Big Bass Bonanza is the float and you'll win x200 your stake for a line of 5. It's x100 for 5 rods and x50 if you get 5 dragonflies on a win line.
Big Bass Splash
Following the success of Big Bass Bonanza, Reel Kingdom and Pragmatic Play took their fishing guy back to the shore for Big Bass Splash. Like it's predecessor it's a 5x3 10 line slot and game play is pretty much identical. There's one important change however and that is with the float icon being replaced by a truck. Five trucks on a win line also pay out x400 whilst it's x200 for the rod and x100 for the dragonflies and bait box. The free spins bonus round is again activated by 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols. Before the bonus round starts there's a chance to add 0 to 5 modifiers including more fish, more wilds, more dynamite, hooks and bazookas and the chance to start spinning from level 2 (where you get more free spins). During the free spin round players can win up to x5000.
Big Bass Mission Fishin
The latest addition to the Big Bass franchise sees The Fisherman on "his most dangerous trip" to date. It retains the same 5x3 10 line paylines as it's earlier counterparts but this time round we're in darker dangerous waters. The float/truck symbol has been replaced by a lucrative speedboat (although it still only pays out x400 for matching five on a win line) whilst the rod is now a fishing spear. The music that accompanies most Big Bass Splash games has also been replaced by a more ominous soundtrack. Another change is that when you get to the bonus round you can choose free spins or stack the cash. The free spins run similar to other Big Bass games whilst in stack the cash you spin to fill the reels with coins. To boost your winnings there's also a robo-crab multiplier. The turn ends when after 4 respins and no coins are added to the reels.
Big Bass Reel Repeat
The beauty of Big Bass is that all you need is The Fisherman and a random scenario. The problem is when you start running out of scenarios and we're wondering if Big Bass Reel Repeat should be called Big Bass Jumped The Shark. For this new addition to the stable our hero has been dropped into a retro sci-fi adventure! The scatter fish have 3D glasses, the other fish have stalks like slugs, the top paying symbol looks like a time-machine boat and The Fisherman has gone all techno. There's even a 90s style soundtrack that has Huey Lewis vibes to it. The base game gives you the chance to win up to x200 whilst in the bonus game you'll be invited to choose one of 12 mystery cards to add a modifier to the round.

Why Are Big Bass Slots So Popular?
Sometimes simple games offer the most appeal. Big Bass Bonanza, Big Bass Splash and most variations are just the same game with a minor tweak in respect to theme or bonus mechanic. The base game of The Fisherman and a handful of win lines without too many bells and whistles tends to remain constant throughout. The graphics are well designed but they're also easily adjusted to suit their respective themes. The Big Bass Halloween 2 game is especially worth checking out.
