How To Play Big Bass Bingo
If you've boarded the Big Bass fishing trawler in slot form before then you'll instantly recognise the bingo room that takes on the same name. The room comprises a deep blue ocean with bingo cards made of rocks. Atop the ocean is the fisherman on his boat and his job is to reel in the fishes. This is a 30 ball bingo game so each card has 9 numbers. The aim of the game is to complete your bingo card first and win the full house. To play you simply need to purchase tickets. Ticket prices range from 5p up to 12p and you can buy a maximum of 100 tickets per game. Pre-buy options are also available. At eyes down fishes, representing bingo numbers, swim across the screen and are reeled in by the fisherman to generate the next number call. The player who reels in all their fish first is the full house winner.
Golden Fish Feature
During game play some of the fishes that are reeled in may be golden in colour. The number of golden fish allocated per game is random depending on player numbers and tickets in the game. When a golden fish is reeled in by the fisherman then this number is marked off on your bingo card(s) as normal but is also registered on the Golden Fish game bar at the foot of the screen. Mark off enough Golden Fish to unlock an additional prize. This prize can be a share of a cash pot, free tickets for future games or free spins on slots. You need at least three fish to win this feature but bigger prizes can be won with 6 and 10 Golden Fish. Like the slot game expect to pick up just enough Golden Fish to just miss out on the feature more often than not!!
The Daily Catch & Big Catch Jackpots
As well as the full house prize and Golden Fish feature, Big Bass Bingo also has two jackpots associated with it. The Daily Catch can either be a fixed or progressive jackpot prize and can be reeled in by any player at any time. The prize is awarded if house is called within a fixed number of calls. The prize must be won daily and therefore will be awarded in the final game of the day if it hasn't previously been won. The Big Catch Jackpot can also be either fixed or progressive. This is awarded if the full house is called in 9 calls - the absolute minimum - and therefore very tough to actually win! This prize may be a community jackpot which means that the full house winner would take 50% of the pot whilst the remainder is shared by the active roomies.
Our Verdict
The great thing about Big Bass Bingo is you don't need to be a fan of fishing or Big Bass to enjoy it. In our view this is probably one of the best looking new games we've seen aside from those launched on Tombola. Pragmatic Play's special bingo games haven't always hit the mark - Bingo Blast for example - but this one not only reels us in with it's design and game play but more importantly it also has us hooked as well. Comparisons no doubt will be made between Big Bass Bingo and Fishin Frenzy Bingo - which is better? Fishin Frenzy tries to be different from other rooms with it's Even Stevens 5 Player set-up but sometimes different isn't always good. The 30 ball speedy bingo format, golden fish feature and general design definitely makes Big Bass Bingo the Catch Of The Day.
