Vegas Millions Prize Lines Review
At the start of the month we told you about Jackpot King being the latest addition to the Prize Lines games stable. This slots meets bingo mechanic combined with the chance to win progressive jackpots should make an exciting combo. And Blueprint Gaming are obviously banking on this to happen because there's another new addition to the Prize Lines family. Vegas Millions Prize Lines is exclusive to William Hill but the format is actually identical to that of Jackpot King.
Vegas Millions is to William Hill what Jackpot King is to a whole bunch of other sites. These are five exclusive progressive jackpots that can be won at any time on a selection of slots - and now this Prize Lines game. The jackpots, going from lowest to highest, include Super, Mega, Major, Royal and The Vegas Jackpot. At time of writing (June 2021) the latter was worth just under £850,000. If you've checked out Jackpot King Prize Lines then this is the same game although you'd be in with a chance of winning a different jackpot if you complete a full house. The design of Vegas Millions Prize Lines is slightly different to Jackpot King. Whilst the latter is red and gold, the former is bathed in a royal blue and game play is accompanied by a soundtrack which wouldn't be out of place in Ocean's Eleven.
How To Play Vegas Millions Prize Lines
Prize Lines games are very easy to play. They are played on a 5x5 grid which initially has blank squares. Wagering starts from just 10p but you can adjust this up to £10 (or more depending on the site). At the start of the game you are awarded five spins and on each spin squares within the grid may randomly fill with an icon. In this particular game that icon is a William Hill Logo. These squares are then locked in and don't change. The aim of the game is to create as many prize lines as possible - so you're looking to fill the grid with lots of crowns. To help you in your quest coin modifiers can be won during the game and these can award extra spins, extra symbols or even take you straight to the Vegas Millions feature.
Gamble On Feature
At the end of the five spins you are usually offered a choice. Take any prize you've won (or end the game if you've not won anything) or you can play an extra spin for an additional wager. This format is exactly the same as in Slingo. There are no limits to how many extra spins you can play but you'll be wagering on each one so just be aware of the cost. If you're lucky enough to create at least one Prize Line during your turn then you'll win a prize. On Vegas Millions Prize Lines prizes start at x0.2 your wager and increases upwards to 10 lines and a x20 win. For a full house (12 lines) you will trigger the Vegas Millions Feature.
Vegas Millions Bonus Round
The Vegas Millions bonus round is played on a tombola style big wheel consisting of multipliers and progressive pot segments. Spin this wheel to determine the multiplier prize that you will win. Prizes range from x25 up to x500 plus there are the five previously mentioned jackpots that can be won. The Vegas Jackpot is the big one and could potentially make you a millionaire (or at least quite close to one). To be fair the odds are pretty much stacked against you because you first need to complete the Prize Lines full house and then hit the big jackpot part on the bonus wheel.
Vegas Millions Prize Lines Strategy
There isn't much strategy involved when it comes to Vegas Millions Prize Lines. Unlike Slingo you as the player are not involved in being able to select squares during spins. In Slingo you can choose strategic squares such as the centre with a joker or super joker. The only real strategy comes with the gamble on feature at the end of the first five spins. We're not convinced it's really that worth it and having tried it a few times just ended up getting no extra squares filled for the cost. Our advice is to be wary of the feature and make a considered choice. It can be easy to chase the crowns and bigger prizes but that's not always a good idea.
Our Verdict
Giving players the chance to win the huge progressive prizes with Prize Lines is a smart move by Blueprint and will give their new mechanic a further boost. We do like the fact that, jackpot aside, the game play is a little different to Fishin' Frenzy. In the latter you need at least 5 lines to win a prize, but on Vegas Millions it's just one line. This is because of the coin modifier feature being used instead of just extra fish being added during the base game. Although the Prize Lines mechanic is aimed at bingo players we think slot players will have a lot more interest in this latest version of the game.
