This one is simply called Deal Or No Deal and is a free game. It replaces Free Form and is available to all players provided they're receiving a weekly text message that includes a code. How To Play Free Deal Or No Deal
To play Deal Or No Deal for free at Tombola you simply need to be registered and signed up to receive SMS notifications. Each Monday a four digit code will be sent to your mobile and you'll need this in order to access the game. The game itself is split into two: a simple match three symbols instant win prelude and a main game. The prelude game consists of nine famous red Deal or No Deal boxes. Click on each box to reveal the symbols hidden within. If you match 3 boxes in a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) then you could win either 10p bonus money or 20p bonus money. However if you match 3 Banker's telephones then you qualify for the main game. This segment is based on the Deal mechanic. There are 12 boxes containing prizes ranging from 1p to £1000 and you are invited to select one.
Beat The Banker
The box you select is your prize but you don't know it's value until the end of the game. You're then invited to select 10 of the 11 boxes to discard with the aim being to hopefully have the higher value prizes still in play. At this point of the game The Banker will call and make you an offer. You can choose to accept this offer ('Deal') or refuse and accept the prize hiding in your chosen box ('No Deal'). The prize hiding in your first box will then be revealed to highlight whether you made the right decision or not. The top prize on offer is £1000 but you could also win £250 or £100 in real money. Other prizes are bonuses and range from 50p up to £50. This is in addition to the 10p and 20p bonuses available on the prelude game. Tombola claim that up to £36,107 (111,259 prizes) to be won) can be won in bonus and real money prizes every week.
Is It A Good Deal?
Ignoring the excitement of a new free game, there's some things in the mix which raises the question is it a good deal? Firstly the main prize on offer has dropped from £5000 down to £1000. That's the same as Arcade's free game, Free Spins. Additionally when Free Form launched it offered up to £50,000 in prizes to up to 60,000 winners. Notably the prize pot for free Deal Or No Deal is considerably less but there are lots more prizes, albeit in the 10p and 20p bonus range. Another point worth noting is that the cash prizes on offer each week now only total just £3150, everything else is bonus money. In other words Tombola are making sure that the vast majority of winnings stay on site and are not withdrawn. Plus there's less actual cash on offer compared to Free Form. That's not a great deal in our view. On the plus side there's more chances to win - albeit a small prize - and the game is fun and free.
