Bonus Policy Updates Across Broadway Gaming Sites

This October has seen quite a few updates from the former Dragonfish camp, now owened by Broadway Gaming. A handful of sites have stopped their affiliate relations whilst others have announced their closure. We expect more will soon fall in the latter camp but in the mean time there's some changes to digest. Customers, who earlier in the year may have had accounts terminated across multiple brands, should now be receiving updates about bonuses and related winnings. Keep an eye out for "Important Updates" landing in your inbox from any Dragonfish brands that you're still registered with.
Bonus Policy Changes
The changes relate to the platform's bonus terms and are as follows: "If you do not log in to your account for a period of 5 days, any bonuses (including all vouchers, free spins, bingo bonus funds, games bonus funds, chat points, loyalty points, shop coins) and any related winnings where the wagering requirements have not been fulfilled, shall be forfeited by you without further notice and are not refundable". These changes will come into effect at brands such as 888 Ladies, Wink, Prizeland, City and Costa from the 7th November 2023. In short if you earn a bonus or have won anything using a bonus then you need to login every few days just to make sure you don't lose it. In our view this is a way for Broadway Gaming to weed out relatively inactive accounts and also encourage loyal players to return to brands on a regular basis. That said it does seem quite a harsh change to the terms. Five days also doesn't give players who may be on holiday for a week or two the chance to save any bonuses that they have!
Missing Out On A Bonus
Terms and conditions with respect to bonuses aren't anything new. In general you'll find that most slots and bingo operators will have a time limit with respect to bonus offers. For example players that win a Box Bonanza Game at Jackpotjoy via one of their promotions have just 7 days to play it. Meanwhile over at William Hill Vegas players have just 24 hours to use free spins that are awarded as qualification for the welcome offer. These two examples are for no wagering terms apply to wins from the bonus so if you don't play them then you simply lose the spins or free bingo tickets. With the Broadway Gaming policy you could lose free spins AND wins from bonuses. Let's say you win £10 on some free spins and that have a x35 wagering condition. If you don't login during the five day period then you'll lose that £10 if you haven't wagered £350 as part of the bonus terms. Of course you can avoid any issues simply by dropping into your bingo brand every few days but we suspect there's going to be some annoyed players when their bonuses get wiped out. And annoyed players aren't the best advert for a platform that's struggling to re-establish itself.
Spooky Bingo
One of the many criticisms we've levelled at Broadway Gaming since their acquisition of Dragonfish is that there's not much for players to get their teeth into. If anything the number of rooms and the number of promotions has declined. That said at least the network is recognising that Halloween is upon us and are hosting a special Spooky Bingo Game. It takes place at 9pm on 31st October 2023 and gives you the chance to win a share of £1000. There's £100 for one line, £300 for two lines and £600 for the full house. Tickets cost 10p each and pre-buy is available. Note tickets may only be purchased using real money funds. This game is networked across the whole platform but even so only 81 players have so far pre-bought tickets (25th October). In our view that's quite a small number for a big money game that's being featured on the likes of Wink, 888 Ladies and Costa Bingo. How times have changed!
