Tombola Create A Britain's Biggest Bingo Winner

At the end of September we told you that Tombola were starting a brand new big money game called Britain's Biggest Bingo. These full house only games are scheduled for the start of each month and have a minimum jackpot of £100,000. However the jackpot increases if more players get involved and plenty of people did get involved. The first game played on the 1st November and Tombola have indeed created Britain's Biggest Bingo Winner - possibly until the next game anyway at the start of December. An incredible 171178 players got involved with the game which saw one lucky player walk away with an amazing £239,168 prize after getting full house in under 40 calls.

Reaction from the jackpot winner isn't currently available but someone has posted the username in the comments on Tombola's Facebook. We're not going to repeat this until it's released by them. If you did purchase tickets for the big money game then you can relive the fun on a reply. To be fair the replay doesn't quite have the same level of excitement because chat has also been switched off so you can't see players posting that they're 3TG, 2TG or even 1TG to the jackpot. One thing that we have seen on Facebook is that some player's were disappointed that there wasn't a one line or two line prize, although this was stated in the game details. Some have suggested that the game basically was over very quickly and not exactly a big event - which when you consider the amount on offer seems a missed opportunity. A combination of Buzz's Live Bingo show and this big money game could be an awesome idea. Perhaps that's something for the future?
December's Game Is Now Open
If you fancy another go at Britain's Biggest Bingo then tickets for the next game are already on sale. You can purchase for this game already. One strip costs 50p, two strips £1, three strips £1.50 and a maximum four strips will set you back £2. It'll be interesting to see how big the jackpot is in December and whether it gets close to the £239,168 pot for the first game. One thing that is worth considering is just how many players used some of their Tombola Free Fiver to purchase for the November game and have little or no intention to repeat the process. The lack of build up games or 1L/2L prizes may well also put players off trying again. However we expect that a degree of FOMO will come into play later in the month when the prize money starts to increase. Will there be a new Britain's Biggest Bingo record come 8.45pm on 1st December or has this game peaked early? How will other platforms react and will we start seeing some exciting jackpots and promotions from the likes of Pragmatic Play, Playtech and Dragonfish (don't hold you breath on that one).
The I'm A Celebrity Effect
Whilst the Free Fivers effect may see a reduced number of players trying Britain's Biggest Bingo, there may be something that helps increase interest. I'm A Celebrity (plus Matt Hancock) is back on our screens this Sunday (6th November) and Tombola are once again sponsoring the show. This means new free games - possibly the return of the match the bugs scratchcard - special events and plenty of prizes.
