Real Live Bingo Launches At Buzz Bingo
Published On 3rd October 2022
For as long as we can remember, The Holy Grail of online bingo has been to create a live experience akin to that of a traditional bingo hall. Many brands and platform have tried it in various ways although the likes of St Minver, Cozy Games, Crown Bingo and Sun Bingo have always resorted live chat or a gameshow set-up whilst a game was in play. Whilst this was OK it never really coupled things together and perhaps that's why live games have never really become established. However the folks over at Buzz Bingo have donned their finest Indiana Jones outfits and may well have chosen wisely with their latest launch. It's called Really, Truly, Properly, Live Bingo and it plays every evening between 8pm and 10pm.
What Is Buzz Live Bingo?
According to Buzz their Live Bingo product is the "closest thing you'll get to being in a bingo club without actually being there". What this means is that the presenters are involved in real time activity so they're seeing the bingo games as you're playing them, they're responding to the players as things happen and there's even time for interactive quizzes with prizes to be won. Live Bingo games take place from 8pm and a video window will appear when it's nearly time for the games to begin - simply click or tap play to show the livestream! The actual bingo games play exactly as they would do at any other time of the day, the only difference is that the presenters, Roger and Devin, will be involved too. You can send them messages, chat with the presenters or get involved with the fun whilst still enjoying a game. And it's all live!
The Live Bingo Presenters
You can find out more about Roger and Devin by visiting the Buzz Bingo Live section. If you're a big bingo fan then you'll be very familiar with Roger as he's done work for Which Bingo in the past as well as been a host of live stream and video content, such as Win Roger's Winnings, for Buzz. We're less familiar with Devin (sorry fella) but according to his bio he has been active on content such as The Chat Star's Live Show. By the way don't expect to see any former Love Island contestants, Made In Chelsea stars or even Biggins for that matter turn up as Buzz promise that you "won't find any Z-List celebs in our Live Bingo because all our budget goes towards prize money". Doesn't that sound refreshing! Of course it could also be because new bingo advertising rules mean that gambling can't be associated with celebs that may appeal to folks who are too young to wager but either way it's a nice approach.
Live Bingo Bonus Board
As well as the main 90 ball bingo game, Live Bingo at Buzz also has a bonus board. This concept isn't new and it's something we've seen on the likes of X-Factor Bingo. A community bingo card is in play and numbers are marked off provided the full house call matches one of the numbers. If your full house call completes one line then you'll win £10 on top of the FH prize whilst it's an extra £25 if you complete two lines. If your full house call completes the full house on the community bonus card then that means an additional £50 to the winner. There are plenty of other features to look out for during the Live Bingo sessions and these include 80's Night, Duck Hunt, Any 1's Game, Money Back Bingo, Multiplier Wheel and Higher & Lower. Details about each of these features can be found on Buzz.
The Future Of Bingo?
Buzz have managed to create a bingo product that many top brands have sought to achieve. What happens next is anyone's guess. If it's a huge hit then expect the likes of Entain and Gamesys to consider adding their own live option. Buzz however would have a huge headstart and we can envisage a time when live games online are running together with live games in the Buzz clubs. On the flipside it could also mean question marks over the future of bingo halls. With rising rents and utility bills it makes sense to look at options where halls are no longer needed. But what if it doesn't work out? Well nothing ventured nothing gained. However Buzz have definitely created the closest product to the bingo hall experience and other brands are going to be hard pushed to better it. We think that this could be one of the biggest changes to online bingo in years. Let's hope it generates the success it deserves.
