Free Form At Tombola Has More Chances To Win

For the past few years Tombola have offered their players the chance to play the same free game, such as Free Vibes, twice daily at both the bingo and arcade sites. However that has now all changed but players won't be disappointed by the change. Free Vibes is still available to play at Tombola Arcade but a new game has launched over on the bingo side. It's called Free Form and there's a £25,000 prize pot up for grabs every week. This pot includes a top prize of £5000 and 25 x £100 as well as a bunch of smaller cash prizes. Tombola aim to make more winners with Free Form by offering over 60,000 25p prizes each week!
How To Play Free Form
Free Form is an instant win game involving numbers and symbols. To play Free Form is free but you do need to enter an SMS code that Tombola send to your mobile at the start of each week in order to play. When you load up the game you're faced with an interlocking grid of 24 numbers which represent your game card. As you'd expect from Tombola the game looks stylish with it's teal background and gold numbers grid. There are 15 turns involved in Free Form with each turn revealing a number on a gold diamond button to the right of the screen (on desktop). The corresponding number on your game card then converts to a coloured symbol - for example red square, pink star and orange pentagon. The aim of the game is to match four of the same symbol so that you win a prize ranging from 25p to £5000.
Free Form Prizes
The prizes on offer in Free Form are as follows: 1 x £5000, 25 x £100, 75 x £20, 150 x £5, 200 x £1, 60,200 x £0.25. The latter is the biggest change we've seen with respect to any free game offered by Tombola. The aim obviously is to try and create more winners and keep players interested in returning to Tombola each week. To win the £5000 prize you'll need to match four red squares whilst four stars will get you a 25p prize. Four pentagons will win you £100, circles bank you a fiver, crosses are worth £20 and the green diamonds will see £100 added to your account. All prizes are paid in cash and therefore no wagering terms apply. By the way the same prize structure has also been adopted for Free Vibes over on Tombola Arcade. That means there's now £50,000 (£25K on both sites) up for grabs every week and more chances to win. Whether these changes mean that you actually do win once in a while remains to be seen. It does sometimes feel that you could play these free games for ever and never win. But players do and you definitely can't win if you don't play.
A Good Move
We think that this is another clever move from Tombola. It's great that they offer two chances to play their free game daily but we wonder how many people didn't differentiate between the free game on Bingo and the free game on Arcade? Now the two sites have their own distinct games and therefore there's a lot more clarity. The games can also be tailored to their respective audiences with a more bingo orientated one offered to bingo players. By also offering more prizes - albeit a bunch of 25p ones - this should help keep players interested in playing and therefore visiting Tombola more regularly. Big cash jackpots are always attractive but we think the multitude of daily free games, like Instant Spins, Betfair Pinball and The Bonus Drop, work well because they offer a few spins or small cash prize on a regular basis. What will be interesting heading forward is how often Tombola change up the free games and whether they'll continue to assess the prize structure.
All A Flutter
We don't like elephants in the room and therefore we have to address one. At present we have a huge issue with Betfair thanks to them suspending our affiliate partnership with no notice or subsequent adequate support. As the same affiliate management team run Paddy Power's program we've stopped sending traffic to them. However Tombola are now also owned by Flutter - who incidentally own Skybet who also love to screw affiliates - and therefore we're in two minds here. On one hand they're under the same umbrella and should get the same treatment but we've worked with Tombola since they launched and have always maintained a decent relationship. They're a good site for players too and we love their games. Hopefully the affiliate management team looking after Betfair and Paddy Power don't end up souring our view of Tombola as well.
