Back in March 2022 Tombola dropped Bubble Bingo for a new variant called Bloom which we described as a more than adequate replacement. This 45 ball game features a fabulous animated bingo card that includes carrots, flowers and even a pigeon pushing out bingo numbers from a birdhouse. There's even a fun mole related game to play whilst you wait for the game to start. The game however only lasted a few months and as far as we know wasn't cultivated again - until now. Bloom has relaunched and according to Tombola it has a fresh new look and there are two chances to win in every game.

How To Play Bloom

Bloom is a multistake 45 ball bingo game which means you choose to purchase one ticket at a number of prices. These range from 10p up to a maximum of £2 but all players take part in the same game. The prizes on offer vary depending on your wager. Whilst you wait for the game to start Tombola have provided a just for fun mole themed game that involves hitting the pesky critters. It's a nice addition and helps past the time as you wait for the next garden to grow. Once inside the Bloom game you'll discover a bingo card that comprises a garden with 15 plant markers. Each marker is numbered and these represent your bingo card. Calls take place the same as any other bingo game although in Bloom's case the numbered balls are pushed out of the birdhouse at the back of the garden.

Carrot Prize & Full House

There are two regular prizes on offer in a game of Bloom. There's the mole prize (formerly the carrot prize) and a full house prize. When numbers on your bingo card are called they may change to flowers or a mole. If you're the first player to unearth four moles then you win that particular prize. The full house is won as in any other bingo game - when the first person completes all 15 numbers. From what we've seen so far the mole prize tends to be just under half the amount of the full house pot. In addition to these two prizes each game of Bloom gives players the chance to win a fixed jackpot. Call full house in 28 calls or less to win up to £1000. The amount of the jackpot depends on the amount of your intial wager. For example if your ticket costs 10p then the jackpot is £50. However spend the maximum £2 and you can potentially win £1000.

Interactive Garden

In December 2021 Tombola launched Winter Spotlight for a short run. This game was chockful of 'Easter Eggs' which added a lot of fun and interactivity to the game. Bloom follows suit with it's own little additions. As mentioned there's the fun game whilst you wait for eyes down but during play there's a few other things to look out for. For example if you click on the rainbow then the weather changes and brings much needed rain to your garden. Hit the watering can at the back of the garden to add some more water to your patch. Finally a really huge bee can be seen flying across the screen if you click on the white picket fence. If you spot any more then do let us know.

Our Verdict

Bloom is a worthy addition to Tombola and once again the animation team have done some thing outstanding. Everything about this game screams fun right from the free mole game at the start through to the bird pushing out bingo balls from the birdhouse. It's incredibly clever and well thought out. It makes you wonder why players accept dull as ditch water games from other providers. Bloom brings some much needed Spring feeling into the online bingo game - and once again Tombola have cultivated another winning variation on the popular numbers game. Let's hope that Bloom stays around for a longer run this time or that this is the start of Tombola revamping their seasonal games and taking a closer look at bingo after spending a lot of time with slots.
