Bloom Bloom Bloom We Don't Want You In Our Room

Published On 16th May 2022

Back in March we told you about the brand new 45 Ball Bingo game called Bloom which launched on Tombola. This seasonal game, which boasted a whole bunch of "Easter Eggs" including rabbits, was added to the roster to celebrate Springtime and it replaced Winter Spotlight which as the name suggests was for Winter. Unfortunately Bloom's time at Tombola was only for a limited period and as of 16th May 2022 they're "leafing it behind". What this means is that the game has now been removed from the roster and you won't be able to play Bloom again - at least not until next Spring. But are Tombola going to replace it with anyting else? Well of course they are and we're expecting to see a Summer themed 45 ball game grow into the space that Bloom has left behind.

My Favourite Game

In fact we know that they'll be a Summer themed 45 ball game because Tombola's social media page has already provided some evidence. When asked if they could Bloom with "summer features" Tombola have replied with "say no more" which is pretty much a "yes but we're not allowed to tell you just yet". However the departure of Bloom hasn't exactly disappointed players based on the comments we've seen on Facebook. One player said that they "gave it a good go and never won so won't miss it" whilst another admitted that Bloom was "a rubbish game anyway bingo seem to be pants for winning lately". On the flipside a couple of players felt that Bloom was their "favourite game and the only one I ever win on" and "this is my fav game". It's interesting to see that players love with for a particular game is simply based on whether they win or not as opposed to the fun features, great graphics etc that us reviewers tend to comment on.

Summer Game Suggestions

On the same thread one player has made some suggestions about turning Bloom into a summer themed game. This includes replacing the carrots with suns, sunflowers or bees. It's a lovely idea but we'd be amazed if Tombola just rejigged a few graphics and called the game Bloomed. We think that instead they'll have a completely different theme - for example Seaside - as that's nice and summery. It could include crabs and starfish plus host a boatload of "Easter Eggs" such as seagulls, ice-cream vans and crashing waves. Note that this is just a wild guess and if it turns out we're right then that's just lucky. If not and Tombola love the idea then we're happy to accept consultation fees. We had thought that a Jubilee inspired game might be an idea - perhaps based on a Street Party - but that does have a limited shelf life whilst a generic Seaside inspired game can be rolled out every year.

Para! Para! Paradise!

We do know that Tombola's summer themed game won't be called Paradise and that's because it's the name of a brand new scratchcard recently launched on Tombola Arcade. Now we're not great fans of scratchcard games because they're usually pretty boring fare. However we quite like Paradise because, as ever, Tombola have designed something that's a lot of fun. Paradise features a whole bunch of birds such as toucans and parrots and the aim of the game is to match up to 5 of the same kind to win a prize. You can play from as little as 5p a game. The background is a tree and each bird is revealed as you scratch the Tombola 't'. Gameplay is accompanied by a very chilling soundtrack that for some reason reminds us of Cuba. As each bird is revealed it makes a squawking noise but that's not the best bit. When you buy-in for another game all the birds fly off. It's a silly little effect really but such a lovely and clever touch. And just for good measure this was the first scratchcard game we've played where we've won a prize bigger than the original stake.

Mother Of Pearl

Finally whilst you explore Tombola Arcade's new Paradise game do also look out for their Mother Of Pearl promotion. This takes place every Monday in May (up to and including the 23rd) and to qualify for the chance to win a share of £15,000 you simply need to wager £1 during selected times. In the morning that's 8am to 10am whilst in the evening it's 8pm to 10pm. Once you've wagered these amounts you'll unlock a Mother Of Pearl game that will be available from 11am and 11pm respectively. This is another scratchcard game where prizes range from £5 up to £500. To be a winner you simply need to match three of the same symbol. Any wins are paid as real cash and wagering terms do not apply. If you miss out by not playing on Mondays then look out for a similar promo taking place each Friday. Opt in and stake £1 between 8pm and 10pm for the chance to win a share of £10,000. This offer is available until 27th May 2022.
