Squid Game Inspires New Buzz Bingo Promo

Squid Game is the Netflix TV show that everyone is talking about. In this Korean series cash-strapped contestants take part in a series of games but the stakes are very high. As far as we know they don't play bingo in the series, but one bingo brand is jumping on the Squid Game bandwagon. Buzz Bingo are inviting their players to join them for daily chances to win £100 until the end of October. Are you ready for the Quid Game?
How To Play Quid Game
Quid Game runs at Buzz between the 14th and 31st October 2021. From 9pm until 10.30pm Buzz will host Red Light Green Light Bingo. These are two alternating 90 ball games that offer £10 for one line, £15 for two lines and £100 for the full house. The difference between the two games are that for Red Light everyone on 1TG and 2G will share a £25 cash pot. Meanwhile for the Green Light game after the full house is won the numbers will roll on until there are five more winners who will each receive £5. Whilst playing do look out for the Big Buzz Special £50,000 jackpot game that takes place at 10.15pm each evening too (terms apply).

But why are they called Quid Games? Well that's because each game costs £1 to play. Your £1 fee will get you six tickets and no more so it's an Even Stevens format. Disturbingly Buzz does suggest that any "participant who tries to play more will be eliminated". Let's hope that eliminated just means they can't buy more than 6 tickets and that Buzz aren't taking the Squid Game ethos to the letter. We're pretty certain that anyone who plays Buzz's Quid Games won't come to any harm - well we hope not - but we're not sure whether Squid Game is a good theme for a bingo promo. As mentioned at the start of this piece, contestants in Squid Game are cash-strapped and down on their luck.
