New Bingo Tournaments On Dragonfish Sites
Published On 12th May 2021
Dragonfish are hoping to add extra interest to their weekend games with the launch of new bingo tournaments that will run across their networked sites. The sites include Quizingo, UK Bingo, Prize Land, Queen Bee and Bonnie. Weekend Bingo tournaments run from Friday to Sunday and they start from 7pm on Friday 21st May. There are cash prizes up to £750 up for grabs. However to have a chance of winning the cash you do need to first win tickets for the finals - and that's done by playing in qualifying games.
Qualifying games take place in The Win Finals Tickets room. You can find the room via the 'Weekend Tournament' tab in the lobby area. Tickets for this 90 ball game cost just 5p and you can max out to 96 tickets. The prizes on offer are as follows: one line gets 15 tickets for the final and 10 free spins, two lines gets 25 tickets and 20 free spins whilst it's 50 tickets and 30 free spins for the full house winner. Players who finish on 1TG and 2TG will receive 10 and 5 tickets for the finals game respectively. Tournament games will then run in the same format until 8.50pm. After that it's time for the finals and these take place in the Weekends Final Room.
The Finals
From what we understand, based on information available on UK Bingo there are two finals games - one at 9pm and one at 9.10pm. We presume that players who have won tickets from the qualifying rounds will have tickets for both games. The Finals games are 90 ball and offer £20 for one line, £30 for two lines and £75 for the full house. Unfortunately we can't access The Finals room to verify this information and there's a lack of detail on pretty much every site we've looked at. One thing we are certain of are that these tournaments take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Note that qualifying tickets won only apply for the finals on that particular day. So if you win qualifiers on Friday then you'll be in the finals on Friday.
More Information Please
Whilst tournaments aren't a brand new feature it is good to see Dragonfish looking to try different things to keep players engaged. However other than a pop-up which states "The Weekend Finals game countdown starts now" when you login in to a bingo lobby there's very limited information about. The pop-up goes on to explain "every weekend we'll be hosting a bingo tournament where you'll get a chance to win up to £750 + many fun prizes". You are invited to pre-buy tickets for the first qualifier but you can't pre-buy tickets for other qualifiers after that. We think that it's high time that Dragonfish sorted out their pre-buy system.
Dragonfish Promotions
On top of that it would be useful if the tournaments were explained on the promotions pages of the multitude of bingo brands that will be hosting this new feature. The qualifying element is straightforward enough but how will players know there are more games to play before the finals? And how do the finals work when there are two finals games? Why not have just one finals game (which kind of makes more sense for a tournament). We'd also love to know which games the free spins can be used on and whether the wins from those spins are paid in cash or bonuses.
New Look Lobby
One thing that we do really like on Dragonfish brands is the new look lobby area. Long gone is the old clunky design that was on the likes of Loquax Bingo and Prize Bingo (gone but not forgotten). The new design means that when you login you're on a page that offers quick access to bingo, slots, deposit options, vouchers and promotions. You can also review up and coming games, featured slots, exclusive jackpots and what's new in slots. All these tweaks, changes and new features should benefit Dragonfish players and brands alike. A little more detail for players about some of the new features might turn out to be beneficial!
