The Chase Slingo Launches At Gala Bingo

Gala Bingo is the home of The Chase slots and bingo room. Now the chase is back on with yet another game featuring the popular quiz show. The Chase Slingo follows in the footsteps of Deal Or No Deal, Britain's Got Talent, The X Factor and even Love Island. But is it worth your time taking on this bingo/slots combined game?

If you've not heard of Slingo then first of all where have you been? It's a bingo meets slots game where numbers are generated and crossed off your card. Each line completed is a slingo and the aim is to get a full house on the 5x5 grid with your 11 spins. Wilds, super wilds and free spins are in the mix to help you, but look out for devils which block the way. Wagering starts at just 10p a game but you can increase this up to £100.

More Appealing

We had high hopes for The Chase Slingo but discovered that it's simply a rebrand of the original Slingo game. Other than branding and the show's theme tune playing there's nothing extra to tie in with the TV show. That's a big disappointment. However, having played various other versions of the Slingo game we actually found this one to be a lot more appealing.

Firstly The Chase Slingo seemed to generate more winning lines than we've had on other versions such as BGT Slingo. This may have just been a lucky streak though. Secondly, at the end of the 11 spins you're always offered a chance to spin on at a cost. In the past these costs have been hefty - but not this time.

Spin On

We don't know if the makers of Slingo have adjusted the mechanics. However, being invited to spin on for a quarter of the initial wager is a lot more tempting than we've seen previously. We didn't feel our bank balance was being sucked dry as has been the case with other versions of Slingo. Mind, the closer you do get to a full house then the extra wager costs do increase considerably.

The Chase Slingo is exclusive to Gala (although it may well be on at Coral and/or Ladbrokes too). We'd have loved it to be an embellished version of Slingo although in fairness it's hard to think how it would work. With that in mind, if you're a fan of Slingo or The Chase then it's worth a look if nothing else.
