Foxy Casino Leaves Dragonfish For Cozy Games
Published On 11th October 2018
At the start of 2017, Hollywood A-Lister Heather Graham was announced as the new face of Foxy Bingo and Foxy Casino. The move saw Graham playing the role of Foxy thereby moving the character away from years of development. At the same Foxy dumped their affiliates and ended a long running association with the Jeremy Kyle Show.
The decision to employ Heather Graham was part of a £10million revamp of the Foxy brand. It was hoped the move would "bring Foxy to a new generation of players". Nearly two years on and Graham's involvement with Foxy has long ended. And that's not the only thing that's changed.
50 Free Spins On Deposit
Foxy Casino, like Think Bingo, has left it's original home of 888/Dragonfish and set up shop on the GVC owned Cozy Games platform. There are, however, some differences between Foxy Casino and other slot brands that are powered by Cozy. Foxy Casino has many more slots - for example Wolf Run, The Naked Gun, Genie Jackpots, Iron Girl and Piggy Pirates.
There are differences in terms of promotions too. Foxy Casino has a Halloween themed tournament running this week. Meanwhile, Cozy brands like Blimey Slots are dishing out 1000 spins in a different promo. The welcome offer at Foxy is better than it's Cozy counterparts - spend £10 for 50 free no wagering spins compared to a 10% bonus and 30 bonus spins elsewhere.
No More Random Fun!
However, what's more intriguing about Foxy Casino is that the "Random, Fun" message that originated under the Graham era has gone. Heather Graham's services weren't retained nor have Foxy sought a replacement. That suggests to us that the idea perhaps didn't quite translate as well as expected. In fact this week we spotted that Foxy had dusted off an old TV advert to get their bingo brand back on the box.
In fairness Foxy, like the rest of the online gambling industry, have been hit with 1001 compliance changes. However, other brands haven't spent £10million rebranding themselves to appeal to an audience that doesn't seem to have materialised. By moving to Cozy we feel Foxy Casino has been diluted in value compared to Wink Slots and Costa Games. The move to Cozy also lends weight to the idea that in 2019 we could see Foxy Bingo changing platforms too.
