The new Premier League Season is almost upon us and that means it's time to dust off our free football games section. The aim of the game is to predict the first goalscorer in a featured match. That sounds pretty straightforward, but there's a catch. You also need to predict the minute of the goal.
If you manage to pull off this predictive feat then there's a £25,000 prize waiting to be collected. However, the prize will be shared if other players are on the ball with their Mystic Meg type capabilities. In the event that no one manages to get the goalscorer and time correct then no prize will be awarded. The prize will also not roll on to the next week.
What Are The Odds
The plus point for U-Goal Predictor is that you only need to predict two elements to participate. The goalscorer can only come from 1 of 28 players (including substitutes) but you could probably discount the 'keepers. Assuming there's a goal in 90 minutes and not Fergie time, it means the probability of getting the right answer is 1/26 * 1/90 = 1/2340.
As far as we're aware, U-Goal Predictor will run every week of the new football season. It's free to play but you must be registered with Unibet. No wagering is required to take part. The chances of winning are a lot better than other prediction games although it'll be interesting to see whether there are regular winners during the coming months.
