Session Bingo - An Hour Of Bingo At A Fixed Price
Article Updated On 22nd June 2020
Deciding where to play bingo online is a tough enough choice, but equally as tough can be how to play. Do you choose the traditional 90 ball games? Perhaps try out some of the variants like Tipping Point or Coronation Street? Or maybe you just want to seek out the cheapest games and make the most of your bingo cash.
If you're the latter kind of player then Session Bingo may be something to consider. Session Bingo isn't a brand new site but a way to play an hour of games for one fixed price. A number of brands offer these kind of games and they include Jackpotjoy, Sun Bingo and Ladbrokes. Usually there are three or four hourly sessions during a day. You then pay a fixed fee to get tickets for all the games during the session.
Sun Bingo Session Bingo
For example a morning session at Sun Bingo costs £3. For your three quid you get 12 tickets for 12 games and the full house prize ranges from £7 up to £50. The breakdown of games means you get 6 x £7, 2 x £15, 3 x £20 and 1 x £50 for your money. You receive a total of 144 tickets during the session and that means you're paying just over 2p a ticket or 25p a game.
Early evening sessions always tend to be pricier so for the 7pm to 8pm slot at Sun Bingo you pay £10 for the 12 games. However the pots go up in value so you end up with 6 x £30, 2 x £50, 3 x £100 and 1 x £500 game. That means you're paying around 7p a ticket or 86p per game as once again you receive 12 cards per game.
Session Bingo At Jackpotjoy
Session games at Jackpotjoy work pretty much in the same way as those at Sun Bingo. In fact you could suggest that the latter half-inched the idea from their previous platform. Jackpotjoy have four hours of games - Morning (10am - 11am), Afternoon (3pm - 4pm), Evening (7pm - 8pm) and Twilight (11pm - midnight). The prices vary from £5 to £10 depending when you play.
The big difference at Jackpotjoy is that you get 16 games in a session, a variation in games and variation in bingo cards. In total you still collect 144 cards for your money though. The prize pots also vary depending on the number of players taking part. In comparison to Sun Bingo we found that JPJ had more participants and bigger prizes!
Is Session Bingo For You?
To determine whether session games are for you, you first need to see how you play and how much you pay. If you buy-in to every game during an hour and spend over £3/£5 in the morning or £10 in the evening then you could have the same amount of fun by paying for a session. On the other hand if you're happy buying the odd ticket for pennies then it may not be for you.
However, Session Bingo does have a big advantage over many traditional games. This is because in a session game all players have the same number of cards. No one has the advantage of maxing out - thereby giving themselves more chances to win - or the disadvantage of holding just one ticket. In session games you know that all the roomies will have the same number of tickets each per game.
