Play The Bingo Ball - 80 Ball Bingo
Published On 23rd June 2020
When we first heard that Sun Bingo were launching a new bingo game we eagerly logged into the lobby to seek it out. We were looking for the brand new 80 ball room called The Bingo Ball. Except we couldn't find the room in the lobby. This is because we didn't read the small print. The Bingo Ball mixes "the wonderful world of Bingo and the exciting world of mini games". This means it's found in the mini games section alongside the slots and you can play 80 ball bingo whilst playing another game of bingo.
- Type Of Game: 80 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 5p to 50p
- Open: Midday to 23.59pm
- Jackpots: The Bingo Ball Jackpot
- Extras: Maxium 4 tickets per game
- Special Features: Arena Of The Gods Feature For Full House Winner
How To Play The Bingo Ball
To find The Bingo Ball game you first need to open up a normal room at Sun Bingo. Then underneath the chat section you'll see the mini games options including various slots. The Bingo Ball link has a small mask image on it with Bingo Ball completing the top of the mask. In our view it's not very clear! When you click on the image an expanded icon shows a loading screen before revealing a very tiny bingo room. To the left are a stack of four 80 ball 4x4 bingo tickets and to the right there are details of the up and coming game.
Each player in The Bingo Ball is limited to just 4 tickets, although you can choose to purchase less. Click the arrow on the left of the room to reveal a wheel to change your ticket number. If you don't like the tickets you have then you can switch them up to three times (before eyes down) by clicking a button to the right. Once you're happy with the tickets you simply purchase them and wait for the numbers to be called. The winner is the player who covers the pattern in play first. Patterns include one line, two columns, topless, picture frame and no corners.
Our Verdict
As well as the full house prize there's also a progressive jackpot. We suspect that this can only be won on a full house game provided house is called within a certain number of calls. We only suspect because we couldn't actually find any details on the information page. The jackpot is quite a decent prize and at time of writing was just over £425. This is a lot more attractive than the full house prize which was round between 75p and £2.
Putting a bingo game into the mini game section is an innovative idea. However we're surprised that Sun Bingo opted for 80 Ball. It's not exactly the most popular game and when testing the games usually only had between 5 to 10 players at a time. It's hard to see how this will appeal to players or become popular. Most certainly it's difficult to find and the images used to show it in the mini games section is poor. In our view The Bingo Ball would have a better chance being a normal lobby room. The mini games sections functions better with slots and scratchcard.
