Sky Bingo Review
Back in the day Sky Bingo was one of our favourite bingo brands. We were one of the first sites to partner with them back in 2009 and built up a good relationship with them. However in 2017 the owners decided to cull their affiliates and "close" their affiliate program. By "close" they meant only work with a few brands and not pay others the commissions they'd initially agreed. Anyway that kind of soured our view of the company, even more so now they're owned by Flutter. But we'll try not to let those negatives get in the way of things as we look at whether Sky Bingo is a good site for players.
Discover Sky Bingo
Sky Bingo has changed considerably over time but today it looks like every other brand. The homepage is dominated by the bingo welcome offer and below you'll see the latest bingo activity as well as featured slots. We like that rooms do feature on the homepage as far too many bingo brands these days just focus on slots. The overall look however just feels quite sparse with a lot of white space. This is the same look and design used by sister brand Paddy Power. It's not bad but then it's not great either. In our view Sky Bingo has looked a lot better and a lot more modern in previous iterations. The site does work well on all devices so you can login and play bingo via mobile, desktop and tablet. Apps are available for Apple and Android devices but are not essential to playing on the move.
Sky Bingo Welcome Offer

In our view Sky Bingo comparable to the likes of Buzz Bingo, Sun Bingo and Mecca Bingo when it comes to the choice of bingo rooms and exclusive options on Virtue Fusion's platform. As well as the usual 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball rooms - including Sky 75 and Sky Community - you will find 36, 40, 50 and 52 ball games. Amongst the themed games you'll find Fluffy Favourites Bingo, Bouncy Balls Bingo, Clover Rollover Bingo, DOND Multiplier, Deal Or No Deal Bingo, Cash Cubes Bingo, Housey and Age Of The Gods. These are joined by exclusive rooms such as Potion Shop and Mystical Bingo. With over 20 rooms to choose from there's plenty of options for all kinds of players. Session Bingo is another part of the roster and offers three hours of fixed priced games every day. A Mini Bingo tab is also shown in the lobby but there were no games under this section at time of writing.

Sky Bingo Promotions
Sky Bingo were always a good destination when it came to offering bingo promotions. It's one of the reasons we liked them when they first were online. But today things are pretty poor. The promotions have become slots focused although to be fair the bingo isn't totally overlooked. For example at time of writing there were options to unlock free bingo games, get a bingo bonus on deposit and earn cash rewards. Not exactly cars and holidays! Sadly Sky Bingo is becoming a version of Paddy Power Bingo and that's not much to get excited about either. On the plus side, and as mentioned above, one account across a string of channels such as Vegas, Sportsbook and Casino does mean you can find other promotions to get involved with. For example by logging in to out Sky Bet account to update this review we were offered a £1 free bet. Of course we'd love to see something better bingo wise but Sky Bingo's position actually reflects the industry as a whole.
Responsible Play
As part of a company (Flutter Entertainment) that runs multiple gambling brands including Paddy Power, Betfair and Tombola, responsible play is a key part of the Sky Bingo set-up. Players have access to multiple tools including reality checks, profit & loss settings, deposit limits and cooling off periods. In addition there's an option to self-exclude. As far as we know this option will prevent you accessing all Sky gambling products as well as other brands owned by Flutter. On top of their own tools, Sky Bingo also provide links to other services and provide a lot of detail about how you can make gambling safer for yourself - or even reduce your exposure to it if needed. They also provide links to Gamstop which is good to see but they could also add Betblocker to their page!
Our Verdict
We've always been a fan of Sky Bingo and can't fault it for players. It has an excellent selection of bingo rooms, both networked and exclusive, a no deposit welcome bonus (which is incredibly rare these days from a big name brand), and a whole suite of other gambling options like Sky Bet and Sky Vegas. It's a good all-rounder although it does feel - as with most bookmaker sites - that bingo is getting a raw deal and not much love. Talking of love, we'd love to send you - dear reader - to Sky Bingo but circumstances beyond our control mean that we can't. Even if we could we'd be hesitant to recommend them as an option simply because they're owned by Flutter and Flutter are not exactly our favourite brand in this industry. But not to worry as it's not all bad news because Buzz Bingo and Mecca Bingo, both of which use the same platform as Sky, Paddy Power and Betfair are fabulous alternatives to Sky Bingo.
