Another Three Dragonfish Bingo Brands To Close

Over the last few months we've been documenting the various brands that are finally closing their doors on the former Dragonfish platform that's now owned by Broadway Gaming. In what feels like a long drawn out and excruciatingly painful process to reduce the number of brands operating on the platform we have news of another three sites that will soon be going into the bingo bin. Surprisingly for a change these aren't from the Tau Gaming group but instead they're from what we've dubbed the Moon Group. This is a huge group of brands that were originally owned by Stride Gaming and now owned by The Rank Group. Amongst the most well known titles are Moon Bingo and Robin Hood Bingo.
Closing Soon
The three brands that we know for sure are closing are So Bingo, Bingo Me Happy and Sin Street Bingo. Visitors to both these sites are currently met with a notice stating the following: "Please note that we'll be closing our doors on the 6th of November 2023. Please ensure to play any remaining balance and use any bonuses before the 6th of November 2023. as they will not be carried over. Join us and keep the fun going on one of our amazing sister sites, Ted Bingo with over 500 games to enjoy and great offers to boot". It's interesting that neither site suggest withdrawing funds or what will happen should you still have funds in the account after 6th November. We're not quite sure we'd describe Ted Bingo as amazing either. It may well have over 500 games but it's not exactly rippling with great offers or anything remotely exclusive. Then again neither are many of the other sites using the old Dragonfish platform.
Bingo Me Not So Happy
The two brands that are closing haven't exactly set the online bingo world on fire. So Bingo, which launched in 2003, was acquired by Stride Gaming back in 2015 but it took over five years for it to get a much needed makeover. Bingo Me Happy hasn't featured on Loquax for sometime but like So it ended up in the Stride Gaming stable and was revamped to look like it's multiple sister sites. As for Sin Street Bingo - we'd never heard of it until now - even though it launched in 2016. It's an awful name and it's best location is most certainly in the departures lounge. Neither of the three sites have done anything of note or offered anything exclusive to players. What is perhaps a bigger surprise to us than these brands closing is the ones that look to remain open, at least for now. Brands such as Bingo Irish, Fav Bingo and the absurdly titled Once Upon A Bingo are still operating on the Broadway Gaming platform.

As sure as eggs are eggs, these three closures within the Moon/United Bingo group won't be the last. In fact we wouldn't be surprised to see a handful of sites close each month in a similar way to those culled on Tau Gaming. Whilst poor performing brands naturally reach the end of the line, there's still one issue that's not being resolved by Broadway Gaming and that's the quality of the bingo on the platform. If you cull bingo rooms, jackpots, free bingo, promotions and stop offering players reason to visit, sign-up and play then even the best known brands can't thrive. If the quality of the games diminish then active players stop visiting and in turn new players stay away because the rooms aren't busy or the prizes poor. Apparently Robin Hood, Glorious and Glimmer are the flagship brands in this group - yet those currently offer nothing different to the three sites closing. Things need to be better!
