Closures For Caesars Bingo And Health Bingo

A few years ago you couldn't bat an eyelid without another new bingo site being launched. Those 'golden days' are long gone and now it's more a case of more sites closing their doors. Last month we told you about the demise of Bingola as well as the recent closures of some old Cashcade brands. Joining them on the online bingo scrapheap are Caesars and Health Bingo - but is it all bad news?
It's actually not a surprise that Caesars Bingo and Caesars Casino have closed. The brands were part of the Gamesys stable and whilst Jackpotjoy, Heart, Virgin Games and Star Spins flourished, both Caesars were left behind. In the early days both brands offered big prizes, including trips to Las Vegas, but more recently neither have had any promos of note.
Shutting Down
If you visit either Caesars Casino or Bingo you'll be greeted with a "Shutting Down" message. This explains that as of 12pm on 27th March the brand "won't be operated by Entertaining Play Limited" and this "means that the site will be shut down". Players who have made contributions to progressives will collect a refund and you can still play on the site.
However, you will only be able to withdraw funds until 11am on Tuesday 27th March 2018. Our advice is make your withdrawals as soon as possible. Sites like Heart Bingo and Virgin Games offer the same slots plus you can play bingo and progressives. It seems strange to wager at a site that's going to close.
Health Bingo Becomes Health Games
We do wonder whether Caesars will make a return on another platform. We've always believed that it's not an ideal bingo brand because of it's Vegas connections. Perhaps a single site offering just slots and table games could be the way ahead?
In fact, Caesars could follow in the footsteps of Health Bingo. This was The Health Lottery's foray into the bingo world. It operated on the Bede Gaming platform - Crown Bingo, Bingo Godz etc - and it's safe to say it didn't pull up many trees. The closure of the bingo site was quite sudden but they have moved quickly to establish a new offering to players.
From Bingo To Slingo
If you visit Health Bingo today then you'll be advised that they've moved to Health Games. Health Games make look familiar and that's because it's the same platform as used by Spin Genie, Slingo, The X Factor Games, Daily Express Games etc. It's unclear whether old bingo accounts will work on the new site - but if you need to withdraw funds from the bingo then you're advised to email [email protected].
We're not totally convinced that Health Games will be a success for The Health Lottery. If they treat the service in the same way they did with the bingo then it'll go the same way. Their bingo offered nothing new and other brands on the platform were better for players. Health now go into the Slingo stable and we suspect that they'll offer nothing different to what's already available.
