What Happened To Fancy Bingo?

Fancy Bingo launched in April 2011 and became the 4th site in the stable already boasting City Bingo, Sing Bing and Costa Bingo. Originally it was pitched up against Little Big Bingo with the promise of bargain bingo games. In fact Fancy's strapline was 'Play Small, Win Big' which in the early days was fine because they did have 1p and 2p bingo games. Back then they also had an Alice In Wonderland theme that included a version of The Mad Hatter as the brand's main character. That theme vanished down a rabbit hole alongside the promise of just cheap games and Fancy simply became less fanciable. The problem for Fancy was that it couldn't just offer 1p and 2p games plus other sites such as Tombola, Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo now had bargain rooms too. It did have some attractions like free bingo and regular prize games although many of these ended up being shared by an over saturated stable of sister sites. After being sold to 888 Fancy Bingo was pushed to the background and eventually closed in October 2023 under new owners Broadway Gaming.
