Double Bubble Jackpot Slot Review
Bally's have released another version of their popular Double Bubble game. It's available to play on Jackpotjoy, Double Bubble Bingo and Virgin Games and is called: Double Bubbly Jackpot. The main difference between the two games are that the newer version has a progressive jackpot that, at time of writing, was over £20,000!
Double Bubble Jackpot is a 20 payline slot which can be played from just 1p a line. The first thing that struck us about Double Bubble Jackpot is that it looks and feels very old school fruit machine. Now for some people that may be a tad too retro, but we quite like it. The graphics - both in the background and on the reels - are basic and the sounds simple, but it does make you feel like you're playing a good old fashioned slot on the pier. As mentioned, wagering on this slot starts at just 1p a line - minimum wager is 1p. However by adjusting the number of lines (1 to 20) and coin size up to £10 it's possible to spin a maximum wager of £200. There is no autoplay feature on this game. However it is designed for mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
Bubble Line Bonus
To aid the retro feel, the icons on Double Bubble Jackpot are made of Bars, Cherries, Oranges, Lemons, Bells etc. The top paying symbol is the Lucky 7 and that pays x500 for five on a win line. Joining these symbols on the reels are wilds, multipliers and of course a progressive jackpot. The slot also has a Bubble Line bonus - get five symbols in bubbles to win the prize (x22 multiplier of your wager). The progressive slot can be won when you play the Bubble Pop Bonus round. As Bally's haven't made any upgrades to the look and feel of the game, the only difference is the progressive jackpot. With this in mind we wonder whether anyone would choose to play the original. In many respects this reminds us of the Fluffy Favourites to Fluffy Too upgrade. The latter was launched last year and supersedes the classic game.
Free Play In Demo Mode
If you've not tried Double Bubble then the game is available to play in free & demo mode at Double Bubble Bingo, Jackpotjoy and Virgin. In 2019 a third version of Double Bubble - Double Bubble Triple Jackpot - was added to the roster at Gamesys powered bingo and casino brands. This newer game is essentially the same but offers a Mini, Major and Grand progressive jackpot.
