Sugar Bingo Review
Sugar Bingo is part of the United Bingo Network which includes Moon, Polo and Robin Hood. It operates on the Dragonfish platform and launched in May 2014. Apparently it's the "ultimate Bingo Online Site" with "soft, smooth, rich and creamy chocolate rivers". It sounds like something out of Willy Wonka rather than a bingo brand and it's had quite a rollercoaster of a ride since it's inception. But is Sugar any good for bingo players? We decided to take a stroll down the "candy pathways" to find out more about the brand.
Introducing Sugar Bingo
When Sugar Bingo first launched it boasted a Candyland backdrop that featured a Gingerbread man character. He was obviously terrorising the inhabitants of Candyland because he was huge compared to the houses in the town! Thanks to The UKGC the Gingerbread man has been defeated and peace reigns over the town. Sadly the inhabitants were all removed as well so you'll see rainbow sugar roads and chocolate rivers. The current site wasn't designed for mobile, but you can still play Sugar Bingo on portable devices. No app is required.
Sugar Bingo Welcome Bonus
The welcome offer at Sugar has changed multiple times. At launch for example you could try the site with just an initial £1 deposit. Sugar are welcomed with a 300% bonus offer on first deposit. They did have a social media presence but this became sporadic at best and it's no surprise to see that it's now gone. In short you won't find any exclusives to sink your teeth into. However it's worth using the chat facility on the site as sometimes you can get a bonus code to get improved deposit offers.
Our Verdict
When we first reviewed Sugar we were indifferent about the brand. It could have been exciting had they stuck with the welcome offer of £1 as that was new. These days it's like a number of other brands in terms of it's welcome offer, bingo rooms, slots and promotions. So why choose Sugar Bingo over another? Well we do like the welcome offer especially the tickets for the Real Money game. The key to remember there is that you're going to be playing against other newbies. The plus point is that everyone's a winner.
The no deposit free room is another tick for Sugar. With respect to paying and playing you will find a good choice of bingo room variations. Ticket prices are reasonable too - starting at just 1p - plus prebuy is available on selected games. We would love to see more exciting promotions at Sugar and exclusives but in today's bingo climate that's probably asking a little too much.
