Food is a popular starting point for many bingo brands. We have already seen Sugar, Lollipop, Candy Shop, Biscuit and Tasty used to launch sites but in 2015 they were joined by Cupcake Bingo. Back then it was the latest addition to a group of Dragonfish brands owned Silverspin (formerly Quickthink) although that group has since falled under the ownership of Broadway Gaming. What that means for players seeking out a sweet treat is that there's 75 ball and 90 ball bingo plus all the top slots. But is this the right mix of ingredients for a top tier sweet sensation or will you come away with a bit taste in the mouth?

When it first launched Cupcake Bingo was given a baking theme, which makes a lot of sense, but thankfully it wasn't as busy as it's now departed sister site at Candy Shop Bingo. On the original Cupcake site there were bingo balls on cup cakes, in the mixer and on the work surface just to remind you what the site is all about. In May 2020 the site was revamped to make it look more stylish but it's had another makeover more recently. Cupcake Bingo Welcome Offer
New Cupcake Bingo players who deposit a minimum of £10 are offered a 200% bonus (up to £30) and 30 spins on the popular Fluffy Favourites slot. The only free bingo room is On The House and this is available across most Broadway Gaming/Dragonfish sites. We believe no deposit is needed to play in this 75 ball room but there may be limitations. Prizes however are pretty small and paid out as a bingo bonus so terms apply. Elsewhere on the roster the choice of bingo rooms is limited. The main rooms are Easy Peasy (75) and Top Of The Shop (90). These are joined by Mystery Jackpots, Bingo Deal (52), The YoYo and Flip It. Occasionally there will be monthly special jackpot games. Slots are part of the make-up at Cupcake Bingo and these are organised under various tabs such as new, jackpots, scorching slots etc. We can't tell you for sure because we already have an account with Wink Bingo so can't register with this site - we're assuming they use the same lobby. Our Verdict
Back in 2015 we said "Cupcake is a nice brand and the extra free gift (at the time an actual cake) is a tempting treat. If you were choosing between similar sites - e.g. Beatle vs Cupcake - then the cake may well sway the deal". Now that the extra gift is no longer available what does Cupcake offer? It does give access to a decent platform but one that is still a long way off Virtue Fusion, Gamesys and Pragmatic Play. The slots are good, but that's the same for all Dragonfish powered brands. The welcome offer is decent but there's a lack of promotions or anything that makes Cupcake a good choice over say Wink, 888 Ladies or Bucky. As players have limited accounts on Broadway Gaming/Dragonfish our advice would be to look at those just mentioned brands and eat cupcakes rather than play bingo at sites named after them.
