Britain's Biggest Bingo Returns To Tombola

This time last year Tombola created a seismic shift in online bingo with the launch of a big money game, Britain's Biggest Bingo. This monthly game ran for several months and dished out prizes ranging from just over £100,000 to a massive £239,168! The latter is the current record for a Tombola bingo winner but that could all change as Britain's Biggest Bingo is returning for another season. Ticket sales will be open from the 1st November before eyes down takes place on the 27th November at 9pm. The minimum full house jackpot is £150,000 but that could increase depending on the number of players who get involved.
Win £150,000
To play Britain's Biggest Bingo game you need to purchase tickets. These are available in strips and you can purchase one strip for 50p, two strips for £1, three strips for £1.50 and four strips for £2. You can purchase tickets up to the start of the game on the 27th so for example you could buy 4 x 50p strips during the month. However the maximum you can play on the game is £2. Britain's Biggest Bingo is a 90 ball game but there's only one prize and that's for the full house winner. If you're the first player to mark all 15 numbers off your bingo card then you'll win the prize pot. If more than one roomie calls full house at the same time then the prize pot is shared. Tombola have seeded this game at £150,000 (up from £100,000 last year) but the pot could increase depending on player numbers.
Big Bingo Winner
As a way of building the pot, Tombola state that all real money stakes will be added to the £150,000 prize if the numnber of tickets sold exceeds the £150K. It'll be interesting to see if that happens as the monthly games towards the end of Britain's Biggest Bingo's first run dropped considerably in terms of jackpot size. Frustratingly Tombola don't seem to have addressed one of the issues that we felt was important with respect to this big money game. Whilst it's nice that there's a huge jackpot we still think they could offer prizes for one line and two lines. Perhaps even something for players hanging on 1TG too. This is what Entain do with their £150K game that runs across the likes of Foxy and Gala. The full house winner collects £100K but a further £50K is split as 1L, 2L, Roll On and 1TG pots. Tombola easily could offer £10K to 1L and 2L winners and still create a big money full house winner!
A Big Bingo Event?
Another criticism of Tombola's big money game was that it was a little bit flat. There was no big build up or after party which seems pretty strange when you're potentially changing one player's life. It's like here's our game, the game runs, so and so wins, the end. Just like any game in any of the other rooms. It'll be interesting to see how players respond to the return of the game. In our view it did really well at the start because of a mix of newness and that it arrived at the same time as Free Fivers. However interest declined leading to the game being shelved for a few months. That said it is great to see a big headlining bingo promo that hopefully will give the popular numbers game a much needed boost as we head into Winter and 2024.
