Jesters Card Game Arrives At Tombola Arcade

We're all aware of the innovation that goes into new bingo games that appear on Tombola but we shouldn't forget that same innovation and uniqueness also applies to Tombola Arcade. This week they've launched another exciting new game to add to their already impressive roster. The new game uses playing cards and is called Jesters. It brings together poker and bingo in a kind of fun instant win type way. Simply match a line of playing cards by type (10, J, Q, K, A) or suit to win a prize.
How To Play Jesters
Jesters is a single player multistake game. Before you play you're invited to choose your stake which starts at 5p. However you can increase your wager to 10p, 20p, 50p or £1. The amount that you choose to wager will determine the prizes that you can win. The Jesters game card looks a bit like Slingo in that it features a 5x5 grid. On this grid are lines of playing cards with type forming the columns (A, K, Q, J and 10) and the suits making up the rows (spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds). The game area is simple but beautifully designed in blue and gold. A rthymic jazzy piano tune soundtrack accompanies game play - and it's just perfect for the game. The object of Jesters is to create at least one winning line from the 12 playing cards that you'll dealt.
Winning Lines
Occasionally during gameplay you'll be dealt a Jester Card - this gives you a bonus playing card thereby increasing your chances of completing a line. If you manage to get four cards of the same type then you win a fixed prize. For example 10s will win you x1 your stake but this increases as the cards increase. So for Jacks it's x5, Queens nets you x10, Kings are worth x50 and Aces a massive x500. This means that if you wager 5p then you win up to £25 but this increases to up to £500 should you choose to wager £1 on a turn. If you complete a row of five cards - i.e. all of the same suit = a flush - then you win a turn on the bonus round.
Bonus Round & Our Verdict
The bonus round is five free spins on the Jesters slot. The Jesters slot is a simple 3 row and 3 column game with three straight paylines. To be a winner you need to match three symbols on the win line. Look out for the Jester symbol as this is wild and can substitute for any symbol. But is Jesters any good? It is a very stylish looking game and fun to play however wins aren't always easy to come by. In fact our only win on the game resulted in a column win (stake returned) and a bonus round. On the latter we were lucky enough to get a series of winning lines and so had a return of x15 on our stake. Given that this left us slightly up on our game play that helped quash the not winning frustrations we were feeling whilst the Jester cards were being dealt. Overall this is a pretty cool and fun game - in fact we'd suggest it was a lot more fun than Slingo and a lot cheaper too!
New Bingo Game Coming Soon
Whilst other bingo sites struggle to come up with new games, Tombola are always pushing on. This week (March 2022) they've been teasing the arrival of a new bingo game that will be launching on Tombola from the 21st. The theme of the game is unknown but there have been some teasers - for example the homepage at Tombola says that they have "been cultivating a new bingo game" and "it will blossom" soon.. "can you guess what it might bee". We don't know about you but that suggests gardens and bees - perhaps their own version of Buzz Bingo? However as one game arrives another one departs and players sadly will be losing Bubble Bingo as of the 18th March 2022.
