Tombola Revamp Their 75 Ball Bingo

Published On 3rd November 2020

Drop into most UK online bingo sites and you'll find 75 and 90 ball rooms. However if you compare activity in these rooms usually the 90 ball one is the busiest. This perhaps isn't a surprise because the 90 ball game is the UK version of bingo whilst 75 ball - or pattern bingo - tends to be preferred over in The USA. However Tombola are evidently undeterred by this as they've just given their 75 ball offering a big revamp. They have just launched Bingo 75 Lines and Bingo 75 Shapes.

Bingo 75 Shapes is The US version of bingo. Select this option when you visit Tombola and you'll be able to choose two different chat rooms - Stars and Stripes. You can choose to purchase 1 ticket for 10p, 2 tickets for 20p or a strip of 3 tickets for 25p. If you want to spend more then 2 strips cost 50p, 3 strips cost 75p and 4 strips cost £1. In a shapes game you don't always play for a completed card as the aim of the game is to cover the numbers on the chosen pattern.

Swedish Bingo

Bingo 75 Lines - also known as Swedish Bingo - is like the above but the aim of the game is to complete the full card. In addition there are prizes for 1L, 2L, 3L and 4L. On some sites, such as those on Dragonfish, this style of game is known as 5 Lines Bingo. Tickets are slightly more expensive in this section. One ticket costs 20p, two tickets cost 40p and one strip will cost 50p. You can also buy 2 strips, 3 strips and 4 strips cost £1, £1.50 and £2 respectively.

Both bingo rooms also have jackpots. In lines a £1000 jackpot can be won if house is called in 52 calls or less. The jackpot is shapes is just £500 but the number of calls in which it can be won is dependent on the shape in play. A 'cross' game therefore will have less call requirements than a coverall pattern game. What we didn't know is that these jackpots are not shared. If more than one player wins the jackpot at the same time each player will win the full amount. As you'd expect from a Tombola game the gameplay is stylish and smooth. Purchasing tickets for the next game is also made very easy.

Big Jackpots

What we especially like about the 75 ball rooms at Tombola is that they're active. Both rooms attract plenty of players and plenty of players mean big jackpots. For example when we dropped into shapes one winner picked up a £120 jackpot. Over in lines - where there were 100s of players involved - the full house prize was a whopping £350! When you compare this to other platforms it's understandable why Tombola is the UK's top bingo brand.

The great thing about Tombola is that they're always innovating and improving their games. In recent times they've added Paper, Hex, Potion, Morph and The Machine to their roster of games. However they've also revamped Cinco, Pirates Bingo (now Picture Bingo) and of course Bingo 75. We expect that they will continue revamping and innovating their games as we head towards 2021. One thing is for sure and that this continuous development makes it even harder for other bingo brands to get close to them.
