Cozy Games Closes Over 30 Sites
Published On 5th July 2019
Up until April we kept you updated about closures occurring on the Cozy Games platform. These closures included brands such as Gone, Harrys and even our own Snappy. Whilst we anticipated more sites to shut their doors when May arrived it seemed that maybe the cull was over. However we were wrong - very wrong in fact - with over 20 brands ending their online bingo tenure.
The sites that have closed recently are as follows: Aunty Acid Bingo, Bingo Boogie, Bingo Chimp, Bingo Flame, Bingog, Biscuit Bingo, Bobs Bingo, Budget Bingo, Buttercup Bingo, Champers Bingo, Dandy Bingo, Dublin People Bingo, Epic Bingo, Hunnie Bingo, Igloo Bingo, Lucky Diner Bingo, Now Bingo, Nugget Bingo, Quackpot Bingo, Reem Bingo, Scrummy Bingo, Sweet Home Bingo, Time Bingo and Wowingo.com.
Casino Closures
The closure notices vary from site to site. Unusually none are redirecting to Landmark Bingo as seemed to be standard with previous closures. Most of those mentioned above just have 'site closed' holding pages and an email contact for players who may wish to enquire about their accounts. A few sites link to Foxy Bingo whilst others suggest visiting Little Miss Bingo or redirect to Game Village.
The cull isnt' restricted to Cozy Games bingo brands either. A number of casinos have also been kicked into touch. Aunty Acid Casino, Goldbank Casino, Grimms, Lucky Gold, Mambo Slots, My Touch Casino, Pocket Fortune and Scrummy Casino. Many of these sites simply drop visitors onto 'site closed' pages. Players who may have accounts at these casinos should contact the email address support at livebingonetwork.co.uk.
No Longer Commercially Viable
Although we anticipated more closures on the Cozy Games platform, we're shocked by the scale of this update. Whilst we know our own Snappy struggled in the last few months of it's presence online, we assumed brands like Bobs, Buttercup, Aunty Acid and Wowingo were much stronger and therefore have more chance of survival.
To understand why these brands have closed we can look at Buttercup Bingo. They have written an update on their July closure. They report that their "doors closed on July 1st 2019 due to the operation no longer being commercially viable". Whilst there are still numerous brands on the platform including Mummies, Little Miss, Landmark and Booty - we wouldn't be shocked to eventually see just the likes of Foxy and Cheeky as representatives of the Cozy platform.
