Beat The Drop To Win Up To £1000

Published On 4th August 2020

During The World Cup in 2018, Paddy Power launched their Beat The Drop game. This prediction game offered players the chance to win up to £1million. Taking inspiration from the 'Million Pound Drop' any money left at the end is paid out as a prize. Instead of general knowledge the format of this quiz was guessing the outcome of football matches in the shape of 20 questions. For example you might have to predict the winner of a match, number of goals or the score at half time.

The first Beat The Drop game was free to all players but after that you had to pay to play if you wanted another turn. However, Paddy Power have since changed this and now offer all players the chance to play at least one turn for free. This is the perfect opportunity to give the game a try. Beat The Drop is free for all new and current players for the first 30 days. However, there are two big differences with respect to the original £1million game.

Win Up To £1000

Firstly the starting pot for the free game is just £1000. Secondly the number of questions you need to answer has been reduced from 20 to 12. The game process however is exactly the same - use your £1000 to cover "yes" or "no" answers on selected football matches. If you're unsure then you can hedge your bets by splitting your pot. For example you might want to go 60:40, 50:50 or 90:10. Get the answer correct to carry forward the cash you placed to the next question. Any money placed on the wrong result will be lost. The video above explains things a lot better!

Any money that's left in the pot after the 12 questions is your prize and your's to keep. This is paid out as cash and no wagering terms apply. Withdrawal terms may apply. Just in case you're interested the odds of getting all 12 questions correct is approximately 4116/1. However the chances of winning this version of Beat The Drop is better than if you started with a million and needed to go through 20 questions!

Play For Free

Eagled-eyed viewers will note that Beat The Drop took a sabbatical recently. On it's return Paddy Power have added another change to the terms. When it originally launched the game was free to play for 30 days. This meant that you could fit in at least 2 or 3 attempts in that period. However this loophole has now been closed and Paddy Power now only offer one free game per player. Our advice is to be careful with your free turn and distribute the pot wisely in order to maximise your chance of winning. Hopefully you'll join one of the over 50,000 winners to date.

Beat The Drop is just one of a handful of free prediction games that are available to play online. Sky's Super Six is probably the most well known, but there's also Grosvenor Goals, Ladbrokes 1-2-3 and Coral's Connect 4. It's also not the only game that you can play at Paddy Power. Check out the Skill Zone where you can play games such as Hit The Spot, Hoops Galore and Sports Quiz for weekly chances to win free bets. Terms and conditions apply in all cases.
