Six Sites Make No Deposit Bonus Changes
This Promotion Has Expired.
There's bad news for lovers of the free bingo no deposit bonus today. Six sites have reduced their freebie from £10 down to just £5. The sites, all owned by Mandalay Media, are Sing, Giant, Monkey, Dino, Wish and Sparkly. The reduction brings all the brands in line with the group's other sites that include Costa, City, Deep Sea and the recently launched Kingdom Of Bingo.
The changes aren't confined to the free bonus either. Some sites have had their first deposit bonuses reduced plus there have been changes with regards how much you can deposit to get the bonus. We've summarised the changes below:
- Sing Bingo - £5 free, 300% (£5 to £20)
- Giant Bingo - £5 free, 200% (£5 to £10)
- Monkey Bingo - £5 free, 250% (£5 to £20)
- Dino Bingo - £5 free, 300% (£5 to £20)
- Wish Bingo - £5 free, 250% (£5 to £20)
- Sparkly Bingo - £5 free, 250% (£5 to £20)
- Bingola - £5 free, 200% (£5 to £10)
- Costa Bingo - £5 free, 500% (£5 to £10)
Although Bingola's no deposit bonus hasn't changed, it has had it's welcome offer reduced to 200%. In our view that's not great news for Bingola or for Giant who have also seen their first deposit bonus dropped to 200%. When you consider that Costa Bingo offers £5 free plus a 500% bonus it's hard to see how the rest of Mandalay's stable can compete?
The problem that sites that Bingola and Giant face is that they're not offering anything different to their sister brands. They usually have the same main promotions, games, jackpots and slots. The only advantage they had was that they offered £10 free whereas others only offer a fiver. We do wonder whether these changes now reflect a priority hierarchy among this collection of sites.
On the flip side the changes are good news for players who don't wish to be burdened with high wagering terms. Smaller welcome offers mean less real cash needs to be played before you can withdraw winnings. In this regard Giant and Bingola could be viewed as the best sites to join! It all depends on your priority as a bingo player.
We also do wonder whether these changes are reflective of changes coming to online bingo next year? Bonus cash faces being taxed so reduced bonuses would mean less tax issues - perhaps?
The changes now mean we have over 30 sites offering up to £5 free with no deposit, but only around a dozen giving out £10. There's over 20 offering £15 or more. It'll be interesting to see how these numbers compare this time next year.
