Each Way Bet Calculator
An each way bet is essentially two bets on a single event. One, at full odds, covers a potential win whilst the other, at quarter odds, covers a position. Each way bets are popular in racing - especially The Grand National - or tournament sports such as golf and snooker.
For example a bet on Tiger Woods to win The Open may be 10/1. If Tiger wins then the payout is 10/1 as he won plus 2.5/1 as he's finished top four. However if Tiger is 3rd then the payout is just 2.5/1. Note that a £5 each way bet will cost £10 - £5 for the full odds part and £5 for the quarter odds part.
