Nektan used to be a well known name in the online gambling sector. They offered both business to business solutions as well as business to consumer solutions. This included a slots platform that was utilised by some well known brands including Chomp Casino, Kerching and Sun Play. In 2019 Nektan started hitting financial issues and sold off some of it's business to Grace Media (owned by Betfred). The remaining Nektan business soon ended up in administration and eventually had it's UKGC license suspended thereby ending it's business dealings. However the old platform continued under the Grace Media brand. The appeal of the Nektan platform - or at least according to the owners - was that it was mobile focussed although players could still access slots and games via desktop. The mobile emphasis however was important and Nektan sites offered deposits via mobile thanks to a partnership with Boku.
Closing Brands
The change of ownership to Grace Media saw the addition of bingo to the platform, powered by Pragmatic Play, but it didn't result in improved results. Bingo brands such as Flip Flop and Blush barely survived a year. The closure of Blush also coincided with the closure of many other brands on the platform. Sun Play, Kerching and Pot Luck who were amongst the first on Nektan all shut their doors or moved to another platform. Pot Luck for example relaunched on Progress Play. As of February 2023 the only Grace Media brand that runs on the old Nektan platform is BOGOF Bingo. It's unclear whether this particular site has any significant longevity ahead of it, but BOGOF has constantly struggled as a brand and a declining platform isn't going to help it. Whilst it's sad to report when a network runs out of steam sometimes it's inevitable.

So what slots and games can you expect to find on a Grace Media site? Most certainly there's a lot less options compared to the original Nektan set-up. Today (February 2023) you will find slots from providers such as Eyecon Games, NetEnt, Blueprint and Big Time Gaming. Interestingly you'll not find Slingo titles on this particular platform. Another glaring omission from the platform are live casino games such as roulette, blackjack and live game shows. On a positive note there's bingo but this is limited to the Pragmatic Play Network rooms like the Zoom Room, Bingo Blast and Diamond Dazzle.
