Tasty Bingo Review
Tasty Bingo was launched in March 2010 as an addition to the same bingo family that includes Wink, Posh and Redbus. This Dragonfish powered site had all the right ingredients to make the grade. The foodie inspired brand offered it's players free gifts, fabulous promotions, big jackpots and lots of fun. But times change in online bingo and things can quickly go stale! Players can still enjoy treats such as 75 ball and 90 ball games as well as slots - but how does Tasty Bingo stand up versus other sites and is it still high up on our recommended bingo site menu?
Introducing Tasty Bingo
Tasty Bingo serves up it's mixture of games via a colourful shop front designed homepage. It's set in what we assume to be a park whilst the store front highlights various promotions and offers. Unlike Posh and Redbus Tasty's design still looks attractive but it is of it's time. A modern makeover along the lines of sister brand Wink would be nice as would a mobile responsive version of the desktop site. Apps for Apple and Android devices are available to download at the relevant stores but they aren't required for you to enjoy games on mobile or tablet.
Tasty Bingo Welcome Bonus
The new player welcome offer at Tasty has hardly changed over the last few years. It still offers a 200% first deposit bonus up to £200 and an additional £10 bonus funds too. Register, login and deposit a minimum of £10 to claim. The way the bonus works means that a deposit of £10 gets you a £30 bonus (£20 plus £10). A deposit of £50 however will give you a £110 bonus (£100 plus £10)! Wagering terms apply and this is set at x2 the deposit+bonus. This is quite reasonable in comparison to other Dragonfish brands where the wagering term can be x4 or even x6. Interestingly Tasty doesn't offer any game bonuses to new players. This is something that still makes it appealing if you are not a fan of slots.
Tasty Free Bingo
As a newbie you can give Tasty Bingo a try with some no deposit free bingo. The Newbie Room, which can be located under the 'Free Treats' tab via the lobby area, is open daily between 7pm and 10pm. New players may access this room, with no deposit required, for 3 days only. Inside the room you can play 75 ball games for small bonuses - note that any wins will attract wagering terms. Given that the 90 ball game is the popular option for UK sites it does seem a little strange that Dragonfish choose to encourage new players with 75 ball games.
Tasty Bingo Rooms
Tasty Bingo uses a modern lobby area which means it's less clunky than say Wink or Moon. However it's also not the easiest system. Bingo games can be found under Main, Classic, Specials, Jackpots, Free Treats and Easy Access. These aren't the most self explanatory and we can't understand why terms like 90 ball, 75 ball and 52 ball can't be used instead? We also can't understand why the same images are used to represent each room. Overall we like the lobby but not the execution. Once you've figured out what you can play here then you will be able to enjoy a variety of games. Ticket prices start at 1p and most games are typically 5p to 10p a ticket.
Slots are part of the make-up at Tasty and these are organised under various tabs such as trendy, drops and wins, megaways, daily jackpots, jackpots and instants. Under the latter you will find Slingo games! There's also a Casino tab but this only hosts one game - Dream Catcher Live. Back to the slots and the main games include Enchanted Prince, Bonanza, Cleopatra, Fishin Fenzy, Starburst, 99 Time and Lost Island. Some games are 'real money only' and that means that any bonuses you've accrued can't be used on them. Overall - and as you'd expect - there's a good selection of slots here with plenty of new additions to keep things fresh.
Whilst new players don't receive a games bonus, regular depositors can receive spins, bingo tickets and bonuses via the Wheel Of Wins. Deposit £10 or more with the code WHEEL to receive a guaranteed win on every deposit. Any wins from these spins attract a x50 wagering term. Use of the Wheel Of Wins is unlimited and can be applied to every deposit of £10 or more. Our advice is if you like reload bonuses then fund in £10 amounts to maximise your bonuses. Other promotions include free bingo games, daily jackpots and occasional network promos. Sadly the days of exclusives running at Tasty are long gone.
When we updated our review of Tasty we said that it was "one of those sites which you feel should be doing better". Back in 2014 it was running TV adverts and hosting some seriously cool promos such as The JoyPot. As the bingo landscape has changed Tasty has very much dropped into Wink's and 888 Ladies' shadow. It's social media presence, which used to be excellent, is also sadly now non-existent. This doesn't mean you should ignore Tasty Bingo as an option for playing. The welcome offer is attractive and we like the fact there's no initial games bonus that may trap you in with a big wagering term. The Wheel Of Wins is another plus point as is the free bingo games for newbies and regulars. The choice of bingo games (52, 75 and 90 ball) is getting better but Dragonfish are still a little bit behind Virtue Fusion. We like Tasty Bingo but can't help feeling Wink is always the better option if you've not tried either site before.
