Kitty Bingo & Lucky Pants Launch New Daily Free Games

Two of the bingo world's longest serving daily free to play games look as though they've come to an end. Kitty Collector at Kitty Bingo, which originally launched as Catford Square, and Stranger Thongs at Lucky Pants Bingo. A quick scan at the promo pages at both sites indicates that neither games, which gives funded players the chance to claim bonuses, are featured. However it's not all bad news because Kitty and Lucky Pants have added new daily free games. However are these new additions any good in terms of prizes and wagering terms? Should you be taking time out of your day to play them? We decided to take a closer look.
The Daily Kitty Wheel
Everybody has got a wheel and now so has Kitty Bingo. All funded players are invited to spin The Kitty Wheel each day "to get your paws on a bonus, free spins, or loyalty points". To play the game all you need to do is simply login and go to the 'Daily Play' section via the lobby to find the wheel. After that it's just a case of spinning the wheel and seeing which segment the game ends on. Wherever it stops indicates the prize you win. Each spin guarantees a prize! We'll talk about the prizes that you can win below as they're exactly the same as for the daily free game at Lucky Pants. If one spin isn't enough for you then you can get an extra prize wheel spin for every £25 wagered and up to two extra prize wheels if you wager £50 or more per day.
Daily Scratch & Win
Surprisingly Lucky Pants haven't got a prize wheel. Instead they've opted for a daily scratchcard mechanic. To play you'll need to login to Lucky Pants Bingo and again head to the Daily Play section. Unlike The Kitty Wheel which is open to all funded players, the terms for this scratchcard state it's available to selected players - but then doesn't explain who will be selected. As far as we're aware you don't need to have a weekly wagering requirement that used to be part of the Stranger Thongs deal (or the Kitty Collector Bonus Game) but this isn't clear. What we do know is that every scratchcard you play guarantees you a prize and if you wager then this gets you extra plays. The terms state that an extra card is available for every £20 wagered but there are two cards for £50. We wonder whether these terms should be identical to those at Kitty?
The Prizes
As every spin of The Kitty Wheel and scratch of the Lucky Pants scratchcard guarantees a win then it's worth taking a close look at the prizes. Both offer the same prize table that consists of 100 Loyalty Points, 250 Loyalty Points, 1000 Loyalty Points, 5 Free Spins, 10 Free Spins, 20 Free Spins, £25 slots bonus and a £100 slots bonus. If we were a betting duck then we'd say that pretty much every play will result in loyalty points whilst once in a blue moon you may get some spins. We'd be surprised if the £25 and £100 slots bonus ever gets paid out. The loyalty points can be used for Slingo - convert 1000 points to a £1 slingo bonus that comes complete with a x20 wagering term. Wins from the spins come with a x25 wagering term whilst if you do win the slots bonus then you're also saddled with a x25 wagering term.
Our Verdict
It's sad to see Kitty Collector and Stranger Thongs consigned to the bingo bin but they were remnants of the old platform and we guess times have to change. Scratchcards and Spin The Wheel games are also a lot easier to manage and understand. Players know they're guaranteed a prize and don't have to worry about dice or collecting symbols over many days. However we are disappointed with both new games because firstly there are no bingo rewards and secondly you can't ignore those wagering terms on the prizes. It's all well and good winning a £100 slots bonus (if it ever materialises) but not so great when it's accompanied by a x25 wagering term. Even the smaller prizes which convert to Slingo bonuses collar you with a x20 term. Slots players may get the most out of these daily free games but if you're a bingo player then it's not very rewarding in our opinion.
