Is Slingo Starburst Coming Soon?

Published On 8th October 2020

The range of Slingo games available to players could be about to dramatically increase thanks to new deals with Eyecon Games and Net Entertainment. Gaming Realms have teamed up with these top slot brands to develop Slingo titles based on their most popular games such as Starburst and Fluffy Favourites. In fact, Slingo Fluffy Favourites has already been developed and is expected to be released across all good bingo and slot sites later this month.

We've already played Slingo Fluffy Favourites and the format is the same as for the Rainbow Riches version of the game. Instead of winning cash prizes for achieving Slingos - lines of 5 vertically, horizontally or diagonally - players can instead win bonus round plays that are similar to those that feature in the slot. So for example in Slingo Fluffy Favorites you can win turns on Toybox Pick, Coin Pusher and Hook A Fluffy. We don't know whether Eyecon and Gaming Realms will team up for other versions of Slingo but we suspect there may be scope for Beat The Bobbies and other Fluffy options!

Slingo Starburst

Gaming Realms' partnership with Net Entertainment is also very exciting and should see the arrival of Slingo Starburst. We're not quite sure how this version of Slingo will pan out. We don't think it'll be like Slingo Fluffy because Starburst doesn't have bonus rounds. What might happen is that you win spins on the Starburst game depending on how many lines you complete. The higher up the ladder you go the more spins you win and/or more wilds you get. Hopefully though we'll see something new and exciting from the Slingo camp when they eventually launch Slingo Starburst.

It'll be interesting to see whether further popular NetEnt games are then used to add to the expanding Slingo stable. NetEnt have an abundance of top titles that could make the grade. For example Finn & The Swirly Spin, Twin Spin, Aloha Cluster Pays and Gonzo's Quest. All these are popular games at many top bingo and casino sites so developing Slingo versions could well be in the offing. However whilst we'd like to see more from Slingo the games would have to be sufficiently different rather than just rebranded versions of the Fluffy and Rainbow Riches format.

The Rise Of Slingo

Slingo has come a long way since Gaming Realm launched their first version of the game online. Since Slingo Riches was launched in 2013 there have been over 20 versions of the game added to the stable. These include Monopoly, Deal Or No Deal, Love Island, Friends and Rainbow Riches. Whilst the premise of all the games is the same there are variants to keep things interesting. For example Slingo Showdown is a poker varient whilst Slingo Who Wants To Be A Millionaire has an instant win/scratchcard element.

It's not all been plain sailing though for this particular gambling product. It's venture into a multiplayer style game, Slingo Boom, sadly didn't take off. We'd love to see it be revived for another try, perhaps as a plug-in style product along the lines of Pragamatic Play's bingo room. Sadly we don't expect that to happen especially now that Gaming Realms are working their magic with Fluffy and Starburst. But there's always next year?
