Spin Genie Suspends Gambling Operations

If you're a player on Spin Genie, Slingo.com, Deal Or No Deal Casino, The X Factor Games, Britain's Got Talent Games, Vegas Casino or Love Island Games then you'll find that you currently cannot play at these sites. The is because Bear Group Limited - the owners of these brands - have suspended gambling operations. It's unclear at this time whether they will resume any time soon.
We were first aware of these suspensions just before Christmas. However the sites involved have only just placed an announcement on their main pages. Before Christmas players could login to the various brands however none of the games would load. At time of writing The X Factor Games and BGT Games aren't showing such a message but we're presuming that they too have suspended operations.

So what should you do if you're a player at these sites? Well you're advised to contact customer support for questions and balance withdrawal. No details are given with respect to whether the sites will be resuming trading any time in the future. Our advice therefore would be to withdraw your balance as soon as possible. On iGaming Business an article suggests that the owners "do not expect the market position" of the sites "to improve in the short to medium term". New owners are being sought for the brands so it remains to be seen whether there's a future for the likes of Spin Genie. We anticipate that the rollercoaster ride for the brand is more than likely at an end.

Spin Genie launched in 2014 with a gamification USP. It came from the same stable as Bingo Godz and arrived at a time when developers saw collecting trophies as an important aspect of choosing a brand. The highlight for the brand was when they procured Louie Spence to star in a TV advert as well as feature on their site. However, things started to slip for Spin Genie when Slingo.com and other sister brands arrived on the scene.
Whilst the idea of DOND Casino, Love Island Games, BGT Games and The X Factor Games were good the problem was that the sites lacked enough games or promotions relating to the TV shows. Various changes of ownership also hasn't been beneficial and despite all the sites on the platform receiving a much needed makeover, this obviously hasn't been enough to improve their fortunes.
